Multi-Purpose Workboats and Vessels Marine Engineering and Construction Salvage and Wreck Removal Marine Consultancy Services Marine Expertise and Support
We are a progressive company with more than 50 years experience in the industry. Located within the busy port of Falmouth with our own waterside facilities and quay space. All our vessels are well maintained and crewed by experienced and dedicated personnel, and they can be modified and adapted to undertake most operations. Our hands on experience combined with our innovative approach allows us to propose cost effective solutions for many marine operations. Apart from operating multi-purpose workboats and survey vessels, we also carry out a wide range of marine related work such as: Anti-pollution operations Cable laying across estuaries and rivers Transportation of building materials to sites with difficult access Salvage and recovery Vibrocore and grab sampling Crew changes Marine equipment trials Diving support Hydrographical survey work Erosion protection Wind farm support vessels Filming support Heavy moorings Cardox carbon dioxide rock and concrete breaking system Safety boats and crews ROV Surveys Road transportable pontoons for hire Plant and machinery transportation Quay, slipway and seawall repairs Stores
Multi-Purpose Vessels & Workboats At FD Marine we own and operate a wide range of highly stable and versatile multi-purpose workboats that can be adapted for most marine and offshore work and transportation projects. We have vessels that are ideal for a wide range of uses, such as, marine survey platforms, diving support vessels and safety support boats. We also operate landing craft vessels with deck cranes and deck winches that are highly stable and have multi-task capabilities. These vessels are ideally suited for use in projects such as anchor handling, cargo transportation, cable laying and recovery, ROV operations, salvage work and marine engineering and marine construction projects. Our vessels are fully MCA Workboat Coded and crewed by experienced and professional staff. Marine Support Engineering & Construction We have a vast amount of expertise and experience in operating our vessels as support to marine civil engineering projects and marine construction projects. Our vessels can transport materials, machinery and heavy plant to most marine, riverside and remote locations, this is especially useful where road or land based transportation is either extremely difficult, impractical or actually impossible. In most situations we can deliver machinery or plant to a specific marine location, and at an ideal time if tides are a factor. This means work commences quickly, saving you both time and money. We can also provide any specialised staff, such as divers, marine welders, surveyors or riggers that you may require for your marine civil engineering or marine construction projects.
Specialist Salvage & Wreck Removal We have extensive knowledge and experience in marine salvage operations and wreck removal tasks. Our specialist vessels and lifting equipment are ideal for the safe and efficient removal of obstructions and wrecks from estuaries, marinas, harbours, beaches and bays. We have undertaken a wide range of salvage and wreck removal operations in various locations both in the UK and in Europe. With our specialist lifting equipment and inflatable buoyancy units we are able to perform the recovery of such things as submerged equipment, machinery, yachts and other marine vessels. Our multi-purpose work platform vessels are equipped with deck cranes, deck winches and lifting systems. With these vessels we are able to perform various cargo salvage and recovery operations, these may be vessel to vessel or vessel to land recovery situations. Our vessels have modern survey and navigational equipment for locating wrecks and for surveying their condition and positions. Marine Consultancy Services We provide a comprehensive consultancy service that can advise and assist on various marine and water based projects, developments and operations. With our experience, expertise and industry contacts we are able to provide invaluable and professional advice on many projects. If you think we can assist you in with any marine based projects, operations or developments please do not hesitate to contact us. Tel: +44 (0) office@fdmarine.co.uk
Marine Industry Expertise & Support The expertise of FD Marine Limited lies in it s ability to provide a comprehensive range of services to the marine industry. We are complemented by having the full support of our sister company Falmouth Divers Limited. All our vessels are manned by fully qualified and experienced British crews. We pride ourselves on providing a flexible quality service at competitive rates with safety always at the forefront. Vessels and equipment are maintained in-house to the highest standards and adhere to current shipping regulations. If we can be of assistance to your organisation or if you would like to discuss any marine related projects please do not hesitate to contact us.
