4 WARNINGS! Safety Precautions AHCON PCI 2000 must only be used by trained personnel. AHCON PCI 2000 must only be used for inflation of aircraft wheels. Special software for inflation of small wheels is available. Tyre service should only be performed by persons trained properly. Tyre service must not be performed by persons that are not familiar with the safety precautions in this area. AHCON disclaim all responsibility for failures occurring by working procedures, which do not comply with procedures recommended by AHCON and / or tyre and rim manufacturers (ETRTO/STRO). 4

5 Risks and Labelling PCI 3000, 24/34 barr version must ONLY be used in connection with a Safety Inflation Cage. PCI 3000 / 24 Max. inlet pressure 24,5 bar. PCI 3000 / 34 Max. inlet pressure 34,5 bar Safety Precautions Safety Distance None for the operator. 1 m for the outsider. OBS! Please see safety distances for safety inflation cage(s). The use of approved hearing protectors is demanded, when using the Omega Jet System. Safety Devices If the PCI is turned off or the power is cut the pressure will be led away from the connected wheel. The machine is constructed in such a way that the operator cannot be harmed by normal use of the machine as long as the instructions are closely followed. 5

6 Warranty AHCON guarantees that the product will live up to the specifications at the time of delivery and will be faultless as regards materials and workmanship for a period of 24 months after the product has been invoiced to the end user. Components and parts related to normal wear and tear are not included in the warranty. AHCON will not be responsible for damages occurring by negligence, improper use, incorrect installation, etc. All products and parts returned to AHCON for repair and replacement must be forwarded carriage paid. 6

9 OPERATION Turn the PCI on using the ON / OFF button. Display immediately after turning on: Software version and language. Will then automatically switch to P1 Pre-set programmed values: Set pressure : 12,0 bar End pressure : 11,0 bar. MENUS: Press the MENU/ SET button: Software Version and calibration seal will be shown in the display. Adjust contrast: Less contrast: Press the button. More contrast: Press the + button. Adjustment of contrast will not be saved! Press MENU / SET 2 times: Unit measures kpa/bar/psi is shown Change: Press MODE down for 2 sec. Choose the wanted measure unit using MODE. Confirm: Press MENU / SET down for 2 sec. 9

10 Calibration WARNING! Calibration must only be done if measure errors are occurring due to geodetic installation height (installations on plateaus / in the mountains). The unit is calibrated from factory. Calibrations must ONLY be done by certified and educated personnel. After calibration a consecutive sealing number will be shown in the display. 10

11 Programming of the Inflation Programmes P1 P4 Choose inflation programmes using MENU / SET. Press MODE down for 2 sec. Adjust Set using or + button. Press MODE 1 more time. End pressure adjustment is shown. Adjust End pressure using the or + button. Save: Choose the P-button 1 4 and keep the button pressed down for 2 seconds. 11

12 Use of the Inflation Programmes Place the inflation nipple firmly on the valve. Make sure there is a good connection. Choose a programme P1 P4. Press Start The programme will start automatically. OK The programme has ended. Adjustment Adjust values by using the or + button. Press Start the unit will inflate to requested pressure. Overpressure will not be shown by adjustment ( Set Pressure ). Return to the programme. Press the P button. The programme can be interrupted at any time. Press STOP 12

13 Dura Test Long-term Test Programme 0 23,59 hours Choose in the menu with MENU/SET button. MODE is pressed down for 2 sec.. Enter comparison pressure Set with + / - buttons. Press MODE button again. Enter number of surveillance hours between 0 23 with the + / - buttons. Press MODE button again. Enter number of surveillance minutes between 0 59 with the + / - buttons. Connect the inflation nipple to the wheel valve, press START. Timer starts. The actual pressure is shown constantly. 13

14 Noise Noise from this machine is less than 70 db. Special Functions Special Software can be uploaded via USB: (optional): 1. Alteration of version. 2. Languages: Danish, English or German. 3. Inflation sequences in P1, P2, P3 and P4 can be adjusted individually. 4. Common adjustment of inflation sequences. 5. Optional automatic or manual adjustment of values. Upload new Software: Place the USB-stick in the terminal. Turn the PCI on. Press START to confirm the uploading. AFTER UPLOADING NEW SOFTWARE A CALIBRATION HAS TO BE MADE. CONTACT THE AHCON-DISTRIBUTOR! 14

15 Accessories By use of both ordinary atmospheric air and nitrogen, it is recommended that a switch valve is mounted: Art. No Warning Signals: Low Compression Pressure. Possible errors: - The tyre does not receive any air. - Pressure air connection blocked. - Error in the supply of pressure air, compressor error. Wheel Connected. Inflation nipple connected to wheel with pressure. Repair Do only use trained personnel for maintenance and repair of this machine. Contact your AHCON-distributor. 15
