2 INTRODUCTION The following information is communicated to you in good faith as a guide for the use of the "Bench of flow control and sealing mold". Any changes to the hydraulic system, maintenance with non-conforming components, or changes to the original settings will result in a discharge of our responsibilities and a breach of the hardware warranty. The "Bench of flow control and sealing mold" is intended to control only cooling water circuits on plastic molds. 2

5 GENERAL DESCRIPTIONS The "Bench of flow control and sealing mold" consists of a stainless steel chassis with 2 fixed wheels and 2 swivel wheels with brakes, a flow meter, four circuits, a hydropneumatic pump and a hand pump. The "Mold Flow Control and Sealing Bench" is used to validate the following : - Good circulation in the mold circuits. - Give a flow value and be able to control it periodically. - Test the circuit (s) before mounting on the injection molding machines. 5

6 TRANSPORT, HANDLING AND STORAGE NOTE: The "Bench of flow control and sealing mold" must be stored in a frost-free area and at a stable temperature. The wheels of the "Bench of flow control and sealing mold" must be braked. Under no circumstances should the "Mold Flow Control and Sealing Bench" be laid down (risk of pollution). The "Bench of flow control and sealing mold" is equipped with a handle. This one can not be used for the handling, it is only reserved for the displacement on the ground. Move the "Mold Flow Control and Sealing Bench" always with all 4 wheels and on smooth, flat surfaces. On an inclined plane, the presence of an operator on each side is recommended. Never sit or climb on the bench. The handling operations at height must be carried out by authorized personnel using the lifting loops provided for this purpose, because the whole weighs about 90 kg empty. Brakes to activate in working or parking position, and to deactivate during handling. 6

7 PROTECTION MEASURE SPEAKERS Dress code : Standard safety equipment: goggles, safety shoes with anti-slip sole, ear muffs or earplugs, gloves, protective clothing, helmets only when handling this equipment. Hand protection : Any specific information on gloves is provided based on existing literature and data provided by glove manufacturers. The adaptation of the gloves and their maximum duration of use will differ according to the specific conditions of use. Get advice from the glove manufacturer on the choice of gloves and how long they will last for your conditions of use. Check and replace damaged gloves. Eye protection : When contact with the product is possible, safety glasses with side shields are recommended. Skin and body protection : Any specific information on clothing is provided on the basis of existing publications and data provided by clothing manufacturers. 7

8 USE OF THE BENCH 1) Commissioning : - Check that all the valves are closed. - Connect the bench to the compressed air network. 8

9 - Fill the water level in the tank (if first use) otherwise check the level. - Fill the hand pump (only if first use). 9

10 2) Usage : - Connect the connection hoses of the circuits to the mold. - Open the "inlet" and "outlet" valves of the circuits used. - Open the water circulation valve, start the pump. 10

11 - Adjust the pressure with the adjustment knob of the pressure regulator. - Take note of the values of the circuits on the flowmeter. 11

12 3) Event : - Closing of the "output" valves of the circuits to be tested. - Closing the water circulation valve. 12

13 - Operate the proof pump upwards and then down until the desired test pressure is reached. - Check that the pressure is stable on the manometer. If it falls, make a check on the mold. - Renew the test if necessary. 13

14 4) End of the event : - Open the valves of the circuits used. - Open the flushing valve to empty the circuit (s) 14
