2 ISC40G(S) with external temperature sensor To get a more stable and faster reacting temperature reading, Insatech have designed a small solution with a termowell welded to the clamp. This ensures that temperature sensor is placed close to the conductivity measurement without inf luencing the measurement. Insatech ID 54A1. Bath Isotech parallel tube model 915. Calibration set up. First the PT1000 was placed in the thermowell of the fitting and calibrated. The fitting was immersed in to the bath until the underside of the tri-flange had contact with the water in the bath. After the test where the temperature element was placed in the thermowell of the fitting, the element was calibrated directly in the bath. To prevent damage,of the sensor the top was 1-2 mm above the water level during the calibration. So the element has to be calibrated in a well.

Option STC1 Calibration set up: The tri-flange with the ISC40 is placed in a pipe. Calibration media is then pumped through the pipe and the reference. When stable both values are noted. Pipe data: Material: SS 316L Inner diameter: 76,3 mm Outer diameter: 72,0 mm The neck of the tri-flange is 14 mm The sensor is facing the same way during all tests. The measurements are done with-out temperature compensation.

First- in the low region the IF factor seems to be diffrent compaired to the higher conductivity range. Secondly- The thermowell seems not to influence the conductivity measurement. The difference in calibration curves are probably due to uncertainties in the determination of the curves.
