2 Outline Well parameters and current unloading gas lift design Gas Lift Design evaluation with DynaLift TM Gas Lift Re-Design with current GLM depths Gas Lift Re-Design evaluation with DynaLift TM Well evaluation for optimum gas lift mandrel depths and valve calibration New gas lift design evaluation with DynaLift TM Summary 2011 Gas-Lift Workshop 2
3 GL Design Parameters Open hole, horizontal well completions with 9-5/8 csg and 4.5 tbg in the deviated, vertical section of well The PI range B/D/psi, ~ psi SBHP, FGOR ~ 171:1 scf/bbl, WHP ~ psi Current GL design had four (4) mandrel depths, 1750 psi gas injection pressure, required Qi = 5.0 mmscfpd, and orifice in bottom mandrel. Reported unloading problems long unloading time, limited gas injection rate, suspected top valve not opening 2011 Gas-Lift Workshop 3
4 Current GL Design GLM depths in Meters were converted into Feet for DynaLift input and redesign. Typical gas lift design method with increasing port size as depth increases Gas-Lift Workshop 4
