This activity may be manned or dry hired. 13amp 240v power source required for each blower. The site must be flat and allow a minimum of 2ft clearance. Bouncy Castle pegs must be used on each anchor point to and be hammered flush with grass. If used on hard standing 25KG sandbags must be used on each anchor point. Adverse Weather Caution - lighting strikes, high winds/heavy rain, snow and ice. All Staff, Members of the Public, Operators How Many? All users do not use in these circumstances Heavy rain/ Snow will increase slips and will cause injury. Winds over 21mph could overturn an inflatable causing injury or death. Lightning strikes could cause death or injury. 2 Aggressive Behaviour Could lead to injury and distress to victims and those assisting victims of violent conduct. All Staff, Members of the Public, Operators Equipment Shut Down: Shut down equipment and make area safe. Inform office and client that this is for the protection of operators and general public. If you feel threatened phone the police. Alteration & Dismantling Dismantling can only occur when all users have vacated game and area. When dismantling if you are storing on a pallet or in a vehicle, ensure it is stored evenly and secure. Failure to do so could cause injury from equipment falling. Choking Risk of choking if users have anything in their mouths whilst on the equipment All Staff, Members of the Public, Operators Pack Down: Ensure sack barrow is used to move equipment from site into vehicle. Ensure that item is stored securely in vehicle and on pallet prior to returning to warehouse. Members of the Public No Food or Drink: 2 x 9 No food, drinks or chewing gum to be allowed on or near the inflatable. 4 Danger of Unnecessary Injury Ensure that no-one uses the equipment who suffers from neck or back problems, heart complaints, is feeling unwell, suffering effects of alcohol or drugs, or is pregnant. Members of the Public Right to Refuse Service: 1 x 9 Players with listed conditions who still wish to take part do so at their own risk. The operator has the right to refuse service to anyone they deem as a safety threat Each participant must stand inside the bungee run belt with the belt flush to their stomach. Operator to ensure the belt is secure and tight to avoid slipping of belt. Participants are not to run further than the end of the inflatable. Ensure bouncy castle mats are placed at the end of the inflatable and that all users remove footwear, jewellery and keys from pockets. If children are using the equipment use less bungee cords. 5 Fire Caused by naked flame, faulty electrical equipment or systems, arson, explosion or chemical means. Potential risk of fire from generators Injury Through Lack of Supervision Participants may be a danger if they if they are not properly instructed to use the equipment Members of the Public, Operators Appropriate Fire Fighting Equipment 1 x 6 training is provided. : Fire extinguishers to be supplied with any generator hire Members of the Public Supervision to be Given: A fully trained operator must be present with the 2 x 6 equipment at all times, in the event that the operator is not in view, equipment is to be shutdown and secured. 6 Movement of equipment Ensure that all anchor points are secure using bouncy castle pegs which should be flush with grass once hammered into position. If used on hard standing ensure 25kg sandbags are used on each anchor point. Members of the Public, Operators Move equipment to new location: Move equipment to new location and make secure. Do not allow public to use equipment until it is safe and secure. If the inflatable continues to move, find another suitable place to erect equipment. 8 Confirm location is suitable for equipment Ensure ground is flat and free from obstructions Allow a minimum of 2 ft (0.6m) clearance The Set Up Unroll inflatable and place into position Ensure blower hole is at the furthest point away from guests Attach blower to blower hole using bouncy castle strap Check inflatable for any zips / openings nearest 13amp power point or generator Use gaffer tape to tape down loose cabling across paths or table cable to perimeter of are if working indoors. Plug blower into extension lead and allow to fully inflate If in position, secure with stakes if on grass, or with sandbags if on concrete or indoors If the inflatable is not in position, turn off the power, remove blower, drag the inflatable into position before re-connecting the blower and power Place 2-4 mats outside the entrance to inflatable and ensure the sides of the entrance are matted. Ensure metal bracket is secured in inflatable, feed through the bungee cords and attach belts If using petrol blowers or generators, ensure the area is well ventilated and barrier off appropriately using plastic fencing and stakes. Do not overfill with petrol and do not smoke near generators ensuring fuel cap is securely tightened before use. The operation Do not leave the inflatable unattended at any point during the operation of the event If you need to leave, evacuate everyone off the inflatable, and turn power off Amount of people allowed on at any one time is at the discretion of the event manager If you are witness to any behavior that is deemed dangerous, you us tell the person to leave the inflatable In the event of rain or now, ensure extension leads and power points are suitably sheltered The unit may be used in bad weather, but will be to the discretion of the event manager Ensure all shoes, glasses and excessive jewellery are removed before use Ensure that you the operator ask participants to step inside the bungee belts, tighten the belts to ensure no movement occurs.
