Operations All Extension Ladders FF 5.3.6, FO Duty Area Level Subject JPR # Text Reference NFPA 1001, IFSTA Essentials of Firefighting, Fire Engineering Handbook for Firefighter 1 and 2 Module Min. Co.Standards, Ind. Skills Job Performance Requirement: Set up ground ladders, given single and extension ladders, an assignment, and team members if needed, so that hazards are assessed, the ladder is stable, the angle is correct for climbing, extension ladders are extended to the necessary height with the fly locked, the top is placed against a reliable structural component, and the assignment is accomplished. Clean and inspect the components for obvious wear. Establish a water supply to an additional apparatus that will deploy at least one attack line. Flow a minimum of three lines at no less than 150 gallons per minute. This evolution will be completed twice.
