CREATE YOUR OWN Customize your binding in 4 easy steps. 1CHOOSE A BASEPLATE SIzE AND COLOR. 2CHOOSE A FOOTPAD STYLE AND COLOR. 3CHOOSE A STRAP COLOR. 4CHOOSE A HIGHBACK STYLE AND COLOR. Or skip this step and just go Noback.
BASEPLATE A solid base to build your binding on. So solid it s virtually indestructable. Straps, Footpads, Noback inserts and Highbacks all fit to the Baseplate without using tools. No bolts means less hassle and less weight than your average binding.
BASEPLATE The Switchback baseplate comes in small, medium and large for different foot sizes, but all the other components (Footpads, Highbacks and straps) come in one size only and are fully interchangeable regardless of the size of your base plate. BASEPLATE COLORS Size S Baseplate only available in Pink Flamingo, Purple Rain and Matte Night BASEPLATE BOX CONTENTS 2 pcs. Baseplates 2 pcs. Noback Inserts 2 pcs. Centered 4x4 Discs 4 pcs. Strap Mounting pins 8 pcs. M6 15mm Insert screws SIzING BINDING SIZE S M L US BOOTS US WOMEN BOOTS EURO BOOTS UK BOOTS
BASEPLATE Our baseplates look simple and work really well. They are built from super tough and lightweight composite materials and include several key design features for better shredding. LESS IS MORE Less plastic touching the board means a more natural flex pattern under your boot. We also removed all solid material from under your heel to reduce the potential for dreaded heel bruise on heavy, flat or heel edge landings. BUMPER CORNERS The rubber dampening pad sits between the Baseplate and the board to reducing scrape damage to the top sheet and provide a more natural flex pattern under your feet. Extra dampening in the corners of your base padding protects your board from wear and impact damage. DIRECT STEERING In the critical areas along the front and back edges of the binding this padding is thinner to allow a smooth and even power transfer from your feet to your edge and give you a more precise feeling for the terrain underfoot. This makes Switchbacks super responsive. OFFSET DISC OPTION For those that want to adjust the binding position vertically while keeping horizontal fine tuning options we offer offset discs (sold seperately).
STRAPS One of the most crucial parts of any binding system. We designed our strap to be very responsive, super comfortable, highly adjustable and totally toolless.
STRAPS Switchback straps are some of the best! Constructed from super soft EVA covered with neoprene, they mold to any boot shape as the ratchet is tightened. The ratchets themselves are made from strong and light aluminium and the ladders are super tough to minimize wear, even from constant use. HEEL- AND TOESTRAPS STRAP BOX CONTENTS 2 pcs. Heelstraps 2 pcs. Toestraps 4 pcs. Heelstrap ladders 4 pcs. Toestrap ladders 4 pcs. Strap mounting pins
STRAPS One of the most crucial parts of any binding system. We designed our strap to be very responsive, super comfortable, highly adjustable and totally toolless. STRAP POSITION MULTI FUNCTIONAL TOE STRAP TOTALLY TOOLLESS LADDERS EASY ACCESS HEEL LADDERS TUNE IT BOTH WAYS The heel straps can be fitted to the baseplates in two positions: One is higher above the topsheet, which pushes your boot backwards, towards the heel cup for better response. The other attachment point is lower. This angles the strap so as to push your boot more downwards towards the topsheet for a better feeling of the terrain under your board and allowing more sideways boot flex. The toe straps can be worn in two positions: One if you prefer the toe strap to pull back over the front of your boot and the other if you prefer the classic position of the toe strap pulling down over the top of your toes. If you want to switch heelstrap positions or just to try a different riding experience it s no problem with Switchback because the strap position can be changed without needing tools. The length adjustment ladders are molded and contoured so that the straps naturally fall open so the unfastened straps lie outside the baseplate. This makes Switchbacks easier to strap into. Set the perfect length of both the heel and toe straps using the toolless adjustment clip on the inside ladder. This makes fitting the straps to your exact foot size and boot shape even easier.
FOOTPAD Switchback Footpads slot into the baseplates without any screws and cover the insert disks. They provide protection on heavy landings and facilitate great responsiveness by providing a snug fit for your boots.
FOOTPAD Choose the ST Pad for maximum board feel and direct steering. If you want more cushioning then go for the Jib Pad. Are you rocking super wide stances? then try out a pair of canted C Pads to keep things mellow on the knees. C PAD New for this season! Canted Pads make riding more comfortable by improving the anatomical alignment of your knee and ankle joints for stances that are the width of the shoulders or wider. This keeps the angles made by your lower body joints more natural and reduces stress and fatigue. As well as improving comfort, canted foot pads also help with pop by improving the transfer of energy towards the nose and tail of your board. JIB PAD Extra thick EVA padding under the ball of your feet and your toes gives extra protection against the flat and heavy landings that are to be expected when riding street rails and crazy jibs. ST PAD Regular thickness EVA padding under the ball of your foot and your toes gives all the cushioning you could ever need for regular riding, without sacrificing any responsiveness.
FOOTPAD Pick the Footpad that fits your style best. Made from EVA to absorb and dampen forces that would be otherwise transferred to your leg, all of our footpads include a very thick EVA pad under your heel. This largely eliminates the potential for heel bruises. ST PAD C PAD JIB PAD
FOOTPAD Switchback Footpads do everything that you would expect from a solid footpad but without the need for tools to adjust them. 1 HEEL IMPACT PAD We removed all solid material from under your heel to reduce the potential for dreaded heel bruise on heavy, flat or heel edge landings. CLICK AND GO No tools needed for mounting your footpad to your base. LIFT AND SLIDE Simply lift and slide the footpad into best position to fit to your boot.
HIGHBACK Highbacks provide support for you ankles and knees and assist power delivery to the heel edge of your board, but you might not always need them...
HIGHBACK We have a highback for every kind of riding style. And if you don t like highbacks, that s also no problem just pop in the Noback insert and find out just how much fun it is to ride without them. ST HIGHBACK MIDBACK FL HIGHBACK FLATBACK WRAPBACK NOBACK INSERT Lightweight sideflexing allround highback with built-in minimal forward lean. A shorter version of the ST Highback. Great for smaller riders, mini-shred or jibbing. Super comfortable prerotated highback with our natural pivot forward lean adjustment system. Featured exclusively on Eiki s Pro Model and the TWSNOW HiBinding. Featured exclusively on Halldor s Pro model. Try this for a more skatelike jib / mini-shred session or a more surf-like powder experience.
HIGHBACK While some riders prefer the skate and surf like feel of riding without highbacks, many still prefer to use them. Switchback offer a range of highbacks to suit just about anyone. 45 HIGHBACK While some riders prefer the skate and surf like feel of riding without highbacks, many still prefer to use them. Switchback offers a range of highbacks and nobacks to suit just about anyone. 3 CLICK! 1 2 TOTALLY TOOLLESS WHY NOT NOBACK? FORWARD LEAN ADJUSTMENT A HOLE LOT OF FLEX Click in your highback in seconds, without using tools. Now you can switch from highback to noback in seconds, without using tools. Nobacks slot into the baseplates like regular highbacks so your heel is not positioned further back in the binding when riding without high backs. Like our highbacks, the nobacks are coated in EVA to give a snug fit and minimize boot wear from rubbing. Forward lean pushes the top of the highback towards the toe edge of the board. This automatically causes the rider to bend their knees and adds power and precision to their heel side turns. Forward lean is set using the adjustment screws. Our forward lean system always keeps your highback in contact with your heelcup no gaps means less stress and better response. The hole in our highbacks is there for a reason. This hole allows the highback to be torsionally flexible yet longtitudinally stiff, meaning that you get all the support you could ever need on your heel edge without sacrificing tweakability on grabs and presses.
