2 Saturday 22 nd July- Sunday 3 rd September 2017 Severn Valley Enchanted Wood Self-Led trail Discover whether elves, gnomes, pixies and fairies live in the woods at the country park. As you follow the trail map, look for all the clues and answer the questions to win a small prize (lolly or similar). Trail maps 2 each. Available from the Severn Valley Country Park, Visitor Centre, Alveley, Bridgnorth, Shropshire WV15 6NG each day between 11am-4pm. Wednesday 26 th July 2017 Severn Valley Safari Join our team for a safari adventure at Severn Valley Country Park. Make your own paper binoculars to help you spot animals, big and small, around the park. Have fun making an elephant headdress before joining us on a mini beast hunt. Booking essential. Please call Child 3.50, Adults free. Suitable for ages 4 and upwards. Under 8s must be accompanied by an adult. Thursday 27 th July pm-3.30pm Join our rangers and local experts from Geologists in the Geopark and try to find your own carboniferous fossil! This family friendly 2 hour session starts at the visitor centre with a brief introduction to the fascinating geology of the park and what you might expect to find during the fossil hunt. The experts from Geologists in the Geopark will be on hand to share their knowledge as you dig in to an exposed area of coal spoil to see what you can discover. At the end of the session, return to the Severn Valley Country Park Visitor Centre to examine your finds under a microscope. The fossils can be found on the surface or just underneath it so please bring a small trowel and a plastic tub with you to aid your fossil hunting. You will be able to take home your finds along with an identification sheet. Booking essential. Please call Child 3.50, adult free. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for age 5 and upwards
3 Wednesday 2 nd August 2017 Severn Valley T shirt Designers 10.30am-12pm & 1.30pm-3pm Get creative in this fun craft session. We ll provide the t-shirts, textile pens, textile paint fabric glue and help let your imagination run wild! Design your own unique t-shirt to take home and impress all your family and friends! Booking and payment in advance essential. Please call Limited to 12 children per session. Cost 9 per child. Each child will have 2 t shirts to design and take home. Wednesday 9 th August 2017 Severn Valley Underwater Bubble Bonanza Join our team for lots of fun with bubbles. Paint with bubbles, make your own bubble wand & see who can blow the biggest bubble. Then explore the underwater world with us by making some fishy crafts and having a go a pond dipping. Booking essential. Please call Child 3.50, Adults free. Suitable for ages 4 and upwards. Before long, chaos ensues as mistaken identity, love, pride and alcohol set a host of much loved characters on a series of hilarious adventures. Hopeless romantics, drunken knights, a pompous steward and fools galore abound in one of Mr. William Shakespeare s most celebrated comedies. Sure to delight family audiences from age 6 to 96, this is an ideal choice for an outdoor theatrical event. Join our team for some fun games before enjoying your picnic in our meadows. Maybe you ll get to meet our Park Ranger bear! The event will include a short walk from the visitor centre to our bird hide meadow. This will follow tarmac paths so will be pushchair friendly. Child 3.50, Adult Free. Wednesday 23 rd August 2017 Severn Valley Pirate Party Get ready for some swashbuckling fun with the team at Severn Valley. Make your own parrot and eye patch to help you prepare for the daring walk the plank game and ship-shape obstacle course. We ll finish the session with a pirate treasure hunt! Booking essential. Wednesday 30 th August 2017 Severn Valley Summer Survival With our team, learn how to survive in our woods. Build a shelter using the natural items you find on your adventure. Camouflage yourself to blend in with the woodland at Severn Valley Country Park. Enjoy a baked potato around a camp fire. 5 per child, adults free. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
