I doubt that anyone escaped the effects of superstorm Sandy. If that wasn t bad enough, Mother Nature kicked us when we were down with the nor easter that came through our area just a week later. I truly hope that you all got through it safely and with your homes intact. Some of you certainly suffered some damage to your property. I wish a speedy recovery to you and hope that you are coping okay. Seeing the pictures of the massive devastation to our communities (once I got power back and was able to watch television), I felt incredibly lucky to have only negligible damage and no power for only four days. An event like this tends to put all other problems in perspective. With all that being said, we will certainly get through this phase, rebuild and recover to see better times ahead. Our lives will gradually get back to a normal keel, both at home and at our businesses. That notion of getting on with things and moving ahead is also true of our club. Over the next few weeks and months, you will notice some positive changes coming about to the club. Soon, we will be planning our events calendar for 2013 and, with your help and inputs, look forward to an even better year. In other club news, I d like to introduce our two newly elected officers. For the next two years, Lou Cammisa will be our Secretary and Kevin Kerr will step in as Treasurer, effective January 1 st. As I welcome Lou and Kevin to the Board, I wish to also thank Tom Geiger and Mike Gussis for their dedicated service to JSR as Secretary and Treasurer, respectively. They did a stellar job over the last two terms and leave some big shoes to fill. Finally, as of this writing, we still plan to hold our holiday party at Bistro on the Beach since they were undamaged from the storms. Details can be found elsewhere in this issue of the Shoreline. It should be a festive event to finish the year in style. You won t want to miss it. Until then, I d like to wish you and your families a very happy Thanksgiving.

Ken presented the group of about 50 JSR members to a presentation on his photography with several tips on successful motorsports photography. Ken then answered several question from the crowd on hand regarding photography. A great night was enjoyed by all. As you can see from the pictures below, Ken took some photos from an elevated level with special equipment brought in by Bodymotion which included special quartz lighting and lift equipment. The Jersey Shore Region of the Porsche Club of American celebrates our 52nd Year with a new slate of officers.
