LIFE SAVING & EDUCATION PATROL SEASON The surf conditions over the past month have been very testing. Our patrol teams have performed many preventative actions and a number of rescues, well done to all involved. We are getting towards the end of the season and ask all active members to communicate with your Patrol Captain if you are unable to make your patrol commitments. Please try to obtain a substitute or swap with another member via Swapsea (swapsea.com.au) and not let your team down by simply not turning up. The reminder text messages sent out each week contain your Patrol Captains mobile number so please do the right thing and communicate with your Captain. Our patrolling season will finish on Monday May 1, Labour Day Public Holiday. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT Four of our young members attended a Youth Development Camp at Thunderbird Park, Mount Tamborine on 18 th & 19 th March. Will Wyatt, Noah Robinson, Hope Short and Kieran Farnworth all headed off last weekend to this program facilitated by South Coast Branch. The program is designed to assist our U14 U17 s in moving into the senior club. Physical challenges, teamwork activities and working on your own pathway were all part of the itinerary. The Lifesaving Committee are avid supporters of these programs and support them whenever possible.
