I Being the Parent/Guardian of the child/children agree to abide by the rules for Learn to Swim and or Squad classes as per the current club handbook. I Agree that while Virginia State School Swimming Club officials, coaches and associated staff employed by Virginia State School P&C Association will take all responsible precautions to provide a safe training venue for my child/ children, the club officials, coaches and associated staff will not be held liable for any personal injury or damage to property which may occur during or arising out of the presence within the confines of the pool area of any person. Signature of Parent / Guardian : Blue Card Application Agreement 'As VSSSC operates as a subcommittee of VSS P&C, we are bound by Blue Card requirements of the Schools employees other than teachers and parents category of regulated employment. Under this category, volunteer parents whose children do not attend VSS require a blue card to provide services to children at the swim club (for example, timekeeping). As the club delivers it's Friday night and carnival services through the provision of volunteer parents, you are required to have a current blue card should you not be the parent of a current VSS student.' Failure to pay the reserved positions/s will be forfeited and the child unable to commence swimming. Swimmers commencing after the beginning of a block, fees will be adjusted accordingly. Please refer to handbook for full rules explanations. Payment of fees can be made by cash, cheque or EFT. Cash - Fees box is located at the storeroom door of the pool and should be placed in a sealed envelope with swimmers surname and state if it is for LTS/SQUAD. Membership Coordinator MUST be notified asap if your swimmer no longer wants lessons/squad. Charges apply (as stated in the handbook) in advance & until such time as notification. #Carnival Selector MUST be notified ASAP regarding unavailable swimmers selected in carnivals. Please join in and attend a meeting as new faces and suggestions are always welcome. Carnival Selections Carnival Selections are made from the Best Times Report from Friday Night swims. Swimmers can only be selected if they swim on Friday Nights and make themselves available for Carnivals (notification is on your Membership form). Carnivals are fun and team spirit is always high at Virginia! Approx. one carnival per month of the swimming season - each carnival is different. Club Night Volunteers/Canteen Roster ALL Friday night families are required to help volunteer for Club Night roles or in the Canteen at least once per term. Please check the noticeboard/ for your turn. If you are unable to attend, it is your responsibility to swap with another family.
