Since 1985, Lindsay has amassed 155 wins while guiding the Red- Hawks to three Mid-American Conference Titles, including the 2006 crown. MIAMI S FORMER COACHES The Miami men s swimming and diving team has the distinction of having each of its former coaches enshrined in the Miami Athletic Hall of Fame. Bill Mulliken will forever be remembered as one of the greatest athletes to wear the Red and White.

In 1959, Mulliken won an NCAA and Olympic championship, both of which were firsts for a Miami athlete.

Best known for setting the Miami, American, NCAA and Olympic record in the 200 breaststroke, Mulliken became only the third all-america swimmer from Miami.

..mac record Jim Bohan Dick Clarke Tom Perrin MIAMI HALL OF FAME SWIMMERS Jim Bohan was a two-time All-American for the Miami men s swimming and diving program, earning the distinction in 1957 and 1958.

He was a five-time Mid-American Conference champion earning three MAC titles in 1957 and two more in 1958. Bohan was inducted posthumously in 2008.

Grant was the first MAC swimmer to win the event four straight years.

5 Bill Mulliken will forever be remembered as one of the greatest athletes to wear the Red and White. One of the most talented and decorated athletes in Miami swimming history, Mulliken became the first swimmer inducted into the in In 1959, Mulliken won an NCAA and Olympic championship, both of which were firsts for a Miami athlete. As a nine-time Mid-American Conference Champion, Mulliken set 15 Miami, Mid-American Conference, American, NCAA and Olympic records during his tenure. Best known for setting the Miami, American, NCAA and Olympic record in the 200 breaststroke, Mulliken became only the third all-america swimmer from Miami. A year later, he garnered All-America honors by finishing sixth in the 200-yard butterfly at the NCAA championships in Indianapolis. For his efforts, Clarke was named Miami s Male Athlete of the Year. Dennis O Brien earned all-america honors in the 200-yard butterfly in 1956 and 1957, becoming Miami s first swimming all-american. A winner of seven individual titles at the MAC Championship, O Brien led Miami to its first MAC team championship in O Brien also was a part of two national record-setting relays teams for his AAU team and held the world record in the 50-yard butterfly during his junior year. Dennis was inducted into Miami s Hall of Fame in Tom Perrin, a 1986 inductee into Miami s Hall of Fame, was named the Swimmer of the Year in the MAC and Miami s Athlete of the Year in While at Miami, Perrin notched six MAC individual titles and was a member of three championship relay teams. He became Miami s first recipient of an NCAA post-graduate scholarship and enrolled in medical school at Indiana University. A1987 inductee, John Russell earned All-America honors three consecutive years after finishing fifth in the 100-yard butterfly at the NCAA Swimming Championships from Russell was a member of nine MAC championship relay teams, and he led Miami to its first back-to-back MAC championships in 1967 and As a senior in 1968, Russell qualified for the Olympic Trials.
