Date of Meet March 23, 2016 Location DeNunzio Aquatic Center Pool, Princeton University, Faculty Road, Princeton, NJ DeNunzio Pool is an 8-lane 50 meter pool with a Colorado Timing System and non-turbulent lanes lines. The Facility Information pool is 9 ft deep at the starting blocks and 17ft at the turn end. There is ample seating for 900 spectators. There is no separate warm-up/warm-down pool. Note that this statement is a required meet announcement statement, and refers to the pre-certification of the pool length measurement in regards to National and World Record swims which may occur in the pool. The fact that this pool is not certified in accordance to C(4) does not impact on the validity of the times achieved in this pool. Times swum at this meet will in fact be entered in SWIMS and are eligible for qualifying for any other USA Swimming sanctioned competition. The meet entry coordinator will respond to s entries within 48 hours. If you do not receive an e- mail response within 48 hours, assume that your has not been received. Meet entries will be taken until the meet is full Host club must stay within the four hour per session rule Mail the entry fee summary, signed waiver / meet verification form and check to: Elizabeth Stoddard, 34 Deanna Drive, Apt 89, Hillsborough, NJ Deck entries will not be accepted. Updated times and entries will be accepted from YMCA 12/U NJ State Championship and NJ Swimming Silver/Bronze Championships (all will conclude no later than March 1, 2016) All Meet Qualifying entries will be accepted as they are received. Bonus entries (if any) will be accepted based on fastest times NJ Swimming does not allow NT or No Time to be used as an entry time. All entry times must be in SC yards. Swimmers must meet qualifying times. Meet entry Qualifying Times and Bonus Times are outlined below. Host team may enter swimmers with entry times slower than the qualifying times. If meet is not filled one week prior to the entry deadline, host club may accept entries with times lesser than posted BONUS times (upon approval from NJ Swimming) in order to fill the session. Pre-Meet Information posted on Meet Information will be posted on the SVY and NJ Swimming website(s). Hy-Tek Events list (HYV file) will be posted on the SVY and NJ Swimming website(s). 2 Audio/Visual Recording On Deck Coach Eligibility Swimmer Eligibility USA-S Racing Start Certification USA-S Deck Change Policy Meet Format Meet Format Waiver Meet Schedule Results will be available on Meet Mobile Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms. All coaches on deck must be registered with USA Swimming and be current coach members of USA Swimming. Coaches must show coaching card with background check validation for entrance to facility. Coaches must show coaching card when picking up meet information or scratch sheets. Coaches must have coaching card visible at all times while on deck and when entering hospitality area. All swimmers must be USA-S registered in order to enter and compete in the meet. All swimmers must be listed on a team s official entry form to be eligible to participate in this swim meet in any events including relays. All transfer swimmer(s) must swim unattached for 120 days from their last attached competition. Swimmers must use an UN-(New swim team alpha code) as their team affiliation. All Unattached swimmers must be listed on the team s official waiver entry form. There are Meet Qualifying Times. The qualifying times are in YARDS even though this is a LCM meet. A swimmer must be equal to or faster than the qualifying times. The Meet Qualifying Times are the NJ Swimming SC Gold time standards (custom time if the event is not offered at NJ Swimming SC championships) Bonus Swims may be available to swimmers with less than 3 Meet qualifying times. Bonus swims will be offered if the timeline permits in the following order; 50 backstroke, 50 butterfly, 50 breaststroke, 100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 butterfly, 100 backstroke. A maximum of 2 additional heats per event will be run based solely on Bonus times. Bonus swims will be determined within 48 hours of the entry deadline This meet is for 9-12 yr old swimmers ONLY. Individual and Relay Limits: Swimmers may compete in a maximum of 3 individual events. Swimmers may compete in two (2) relays. Age for this meet is: March 23, 2016 Any swimmer entered into this meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited. Current USA Swimming Rules will be in effect. This meet will be run as a Timed Finals Meet. With the exception of heat limited events, events will be seeded as a single event without regard to swimmers ages or gender, in the order of submitted entry times. (As per USA Swimming Rules - Article ) One relay team entry per gender per club Relay teams may not be mixed gender Relay event may be eliminated if timeline exceeds the Four Hour Maximum session time. This meet will be deck seeded with coaches checking in/scratching swimmers. When the seeding has been posted, swimmers will report to the deck directly. Overhead starts will be used. The host club has the right to change the format of the meet with the approval of the sanctioning chairperson and either the Age Group Chair or the Senior Chair. These changes would be made for a more efficient swim meet for the swimmers and/or the host club. Any changes will be communicated via to all participating coaches and will be posted at The building will not open until 30 minutes before the start of warm-ups. There is only one session at this meet. Meet Schedule Wednesday, March 23, 2016 Warm-up Start 9 12 yr old MIXED Timed Finals 5:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. Warm-ups will be run under New Jersey Swimming Warm-up and Safety Guidelines. Warm-ups will include Warm-up Procedures general warm-up lanes, sprint lanes, and pace lanes. All swimmers must enter the pool from the starting end of the pool and will swim in a counterclockwise

3 Check-In Relays Heat Limited Events (400m Freestyle) Meet Requirement Awards direction. USA Swimming officials will monitor warm-ups. Warm-up Procedures based upon number of entries: The warm-up sessions will be two 25-minute warm-ups divided by teams in accordance with NJ Swimming guidelines. Teams will be assigned lanes for warm-ups. When more than two teams share a common lane for warm-ups, all teams must agree to warm-up procedures. If clubs sharing a lane cannot agree on a warm-up procedure, that lane will be a general warm-up lane. Teams will be notified via and on the web at as to warm-up schedule will be after all entries are received. This information will be provided no later than ONE WEEK prior to the start of the meet. All check-in sheets must be turned into the scoring table 45 minutes before the start of the session. Swimmers that are swimming will have a line through their name. Swimmers that are being scratched will have their names circled with a SCR next to the circle. Swimmers scratching a single event will have a line through his/her name and the event number circled with SCR next to the circle. All relay events will have a positive check-in that will be posted at the scoring table. Completed relay cards should be turned into the scoring table. All relays must have the correct four (4) names listed and in the correct order for the relay to be eligible. Relay events may be eliminated if based on the session entries the relay event will exceed the Four Hour Limit. All relay entry fees will be returned if relays are eliminated. One relay team entry per gender per club Although girls and boys relays will compete against one another in the relay events, a given relay team may not be of mixed gender. (All girls or all boys, but not mixed) The 400 Freestyle will be limited to a maximum of 2 heats per age group and gender. The 16 fastest entry times will swim in each event. (9-10 girls, 9-10 boys, girls, and boys) In the event that a swimmer is cut from an event due to Heat Limitations, coaches will be notified no later than Friday, March 18, The swimmer will be given the option to swim another event (providing that in doing so they stay within the number of allowable swims per day as listed above in the Swimmer Eligibility Section), or can request a refund of splash fees for that event. In order to be eligible for the New Jersey Swimming Zone Championship Team or for NJ Swimming Athlete Travel Grants for sectional and national level meets, NJ Swimming policy stipulates certain participation requirements. As a NJ Swimming sanctioned meet, this meet counts towards those participation requirements. This meet will not have awards. Results will be separated by age and gender. Scoring This meet will not be scored. Individual Entry Fee: $5.00 Entry Fees Relay Entry Fee: $9.00 Make checks payable to: SCYMCA Admissions and Admission will be $6.00. Programs Cost of Heat Sheet will be $4.00. Real Time Results will be posted on the Somerset Valley YMCA Swim Team Website Results Meet Results will be available on Meet Mobile Full meet results will be posted on the NJ Swimming website, and ed to participating teams. The host club will have stopwatches available for volunteers helping to time. The host club will create a warm-up schedule that will be fair and equal to all teams. This warm-up schedule will be ed to all participating clubs and posted on the website no later Host Club than 1 week before the meet. Responsibilities The host club will create timing assignments that are fair and equitable with as many teams participating as possible. These timing assignments will be ed to all participating clubs and posted on the website: no later than 1 week before the meet. Participating Club Responsibilities Hospitality Vendor/Concessions Participating clubs must help with timing assignments. Timing assignments will be ed to participating clubs and posted on the swim meet website: 1 week prior to the meet. Participating club parents must stay off the pool deck except for the meet officials and designated timers. Participating clubs must help with officiating. A Hospitality room will be available for all Coaches and Officials. There will be NO Concessions offered at this meet. There will be NO Vendor for swim equipment.
