2 MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR Your family s adventure starts at the Y this fall. We provide great opportunities for you and your family to have fun while staying fit and active, and spending time together. I encourage you to bring the entire family in and try something new together or do something you already enjoy doing. The Y is the place to make sure your family has the best fall ever. Jim 2
3 Our Mission To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Program Registration Dates Member Registration opens Oct. 31st 8 a.m. Non-Member Registration opens Nov. 8 a.m. Swim Class Refund Policy All requests for refunds must be in writing and will be reviewed by the Aquatic Director. Full refunds can be issued for swim lessons prior to the start of the session, partial refunds will not be issued for unattended classes. Swim Lesson Make-Up Policy Should the YMCA cancel classes for any reason, a make-up class will be scheduled. Make-up classes are not available for individuals in group swim lessons that can not attend at the registered class time. Once private/semi-private lessons are scheduled and confirmed, make-up classes are not available. However, if the instructor must miss/cancel for any reason, a make-up class will be arranged to avoid a substitute situation. Get Connected Stay up to date on Y news! ymcaerie.org Follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook My Y is Every Y in PA We want to encourage our members to utilize the Y as often as they can. Sometimes, It s more convenient for members to utilize a Y in a different location when traveling, near a workplace or in another region. Now, YMCA of Greater Erie members have the flexibility to use other Y facilities throughout the state, at no extra charge. Simply present your drivers license at any participating YMCA and enjoy access. Special Events Coffee For A Cause In Erie County, one in five kids live with food insecurity. In order to take meals into neighborhoods, the Y and community partners renovated a 72-passenger bus into a mobile meals site! The Food + Fun bus took to the streets & served 10,000 free meals through the Y s Meals for Kids program in three months! The Y does receive grants to help, but there is typically a $3.00 per meal gap. We are partnering with Premium Coffee Shop to host a coffee bar to help fill the gap! We will have several delicious coffees like: Apple Pecan Crumb Cake, Breakfast with Elvis, Raspberry Almond Shortcake, and Mexican Oaxaca available to enjoy on the spot. And bags of coffee for sale too! Juice boxes will be available for younger members. Can t make the event, but interested in purchasing a bag of delicious coffee to help feed a child? Order forms are available at the Community Bulletin Boards located near both Y entrances. Download the YMCA App Saturday 8-11:30 a.m. $2.00 Donation Visit the itunes App or Google Play Store and download the Y s app. 1. Search for mdock Christensen Computer Company FREE App 2.
