4 SUMMER CAMP: BURAS AND PORT SULPHUR FAST FACTS YMCA SUMMER CAMP AGES: Kiddie Camp: 3-4 years old (must be potty-trained) Youth Camp: ages 5-12 RATE: $25/week Members $40/week Members HOURS: KIDDIE CAMP: 8:00AM-12:00PM YOUTH CAMP: 8:00AM-4:00PM BURAS YMCA Highway 11 Buras, LA Ashley Lincoln (504) or PORT SULPHUR YMCA 278 Civic Drive Port Sulphur, LA Rachel Benoit (504) or LUNCH INFORMATION Pack a nutritious lunch for your camper, including snacks and drinks. DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP MORNING DROP-OFF (Kiddie & Youth Camp): The earliest you can drop off your child is 8:00 a.m. You will drop off your child at the facility entrance, where a camp counselor will be awaiting drop off. YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN IN YOUR CHILD AT THIS TIME. DROP-OFF OR PICK-UP DURING CAMP HOURS (Kiddie & Youth Camp): During these hours, camp groups are already at activities. You will need to sign in at the Membership Desk and let the staff know your child is here for camp. At this time they will radio a camp staff member to come get your child and take them to their group. You will need to be patient if you arrive close to the start of camp. YOU MAY NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILD UNTIL A CAMP STAFF MEMBER ARRIVES. Parents who wish to pick up their camper early may do so at the Membership Desk. It IS ENCOURAGED TO CALL AHEAD OR SEND A NOTE WITH YOUR CHILD SO WE MAY ARRANGE TO HAVE YOUR CAMPER WAITING FOR YOU. Otherwise, please be prepared to wait at least minutes in order to gather your child and their belongings for departure. KIDDIE CAMP PICK-UP: The latest you can pick up your child is 12:00pm sharp. Parents who pick up their children after 12:15 pm will be charged a late fee of $5.00 per child. The fee must be paid before your child can return to camp. Fee should be paid at the membership desk. If your child is not picked up by 1:00pm authorities will be notified. YOUTH CAMP PICK UP: The latest you can pick up your child is 4:00 p.m. sharp. Parents who pick up their children after 4:15 pm will be charged a late fee of $5.00 per child. The fee must be paid before your child can return to camp. Fee should be paid at the membership desk. If your child is not picked up by 5:00pm, authorities will be notified.

5 SWIM POLICY Campers swim daily (except on field trip days) Campers must bring the proper swimming wear and a labeled towel. Girls must wear a bathing suit that covers the stomach area. Boys must wear swim trunks and may wear a non-cotton swim shirt. Campers will be swim-tested at the beginning of every week, on Mondays, before they are permitted to swim. Campers who PASS the swim test will be given a PASS swim band. Children must keep the band on all week. Campers who DO NOT meet the swim test requirements will be given a NOT PASS swim band and will only be allowed to participate in water activities in a designated area and must wear a life jacket. Children must keep the band on all week. The head lifeguard will announce general swimming rules before each swimming period. Counselors are required to swim with the campers. PAYMENT INFORMATION PAYMENT IS DUE THE THURSDAY OF THE WEEK PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SESSION. WE ASK THAT CAMPERS ARRIVE AT CAMP IN THEIR SWIM ATTIRE AND BRING EXTRA CLOTHES TO CHANGE INTO AFTER. This helps the changing process and saves time so that they will not have to change twice. Week Dates Payment due in full by: 1 May 29-June 1 Thursday, May 24 2 June 4-8 Thursday, May 31 3 June Thursday, June 7 If not paid by Thursday, a late fee of $5 per day will 4 June Thursday, June 14 be assessed. If balance is 5 June Thursday, June 21 not paid by Monday of the current week, 6 July 2-6 Thursday, June 28 registration is void and your child will be unable 7 July 9-13 Thursday, July 5 to attend until payment is received. No refunds or 8 July Thursday, July 12 credits will be issued to anyone withdrawing once 9 July Thursday, July 19 the first day of the session has begun. Cancellations or transfers 10 July 30-Aug 3 Thursday, July 26 must be made in writing one week in advance. Families of all ages are welcome to join us at the pool for FREE wet and wild trivia and water challenges. 11:00am-1:00pm *Don t forget your swimsuits, towels and sunscreen Don t forget to add to the fun with our 5K Family Fun Run! Fun run begins at 10:00am Cost: $12-$50
