3 2018 THURSTON WATER PARK SEASON PASS HOLDER GUIDE There are many awesome benefits to becoming a season pass holder at the Thurston Water Park. We have a great summer planned and more season pass holder perks than ever before! THINGS TO KNOW: Season pass holders always have priority entry into the park. When you enter, have your membership cards ready to scan. All members of your family over age 2 & up will need to have a card and a photo. Please be prepared to have your bag searched at entry. See Water Park Rules for a complete list of park policies. SEASON PASS HOLDER PERKS: FREE admission to the Pirate s Cove kickoff. Must pre-register for tickets in advance as space is limited. Tag-Along Tuesdays: Every Tuesday, season pass holders can bring a friend for only $5! Wellness Wednesdays: 10% off smoothies & salads at Kiki s Lunchbox. Thirsty Thursdays: Free drink with purchase of a salad, wrap or sandwich at Kiki s Lunchbox. Priority Entry: On Memorial Day, Labor Day, and 4th of July, season pass holders can enter the park at 11 AM an hour before anyone else! Party Privileges: Season Pass Holders get the best possible rate on a Water Park Birthday party package!

4 CELEBRATE WITH US 2018 WATER PARK PARTIES Parties at the Massad Family YMCA Water Park include a party attendant, two hours of reserved table space under the covered Water Park Pavilion, food package from Kiki s Lunchbox, and a party favor for the birthday child! Bring your own cake or cupcakes. Guest can remain in the park for as long as they d like! Parties are limited to a maximum of 30 guests. Deposit goes toward party package cost. THINGS TO KNOW: Payment is due on the day of the party and is made payable to the YMCA via cash, check, Visa or MasterCard with your party attendant. Party Attendant tips are appreciated. *A la carte food is payable to Kiki s lunchbox via cash or credit card on the day of the party. Have guests that aren t swimming? Your party package includes entry for up to 4 non-swimmers (parents/family members). Everyone else entering the park is subject to the additional guest entry fee. All pool rules must be followed at all times for the safety of all guests. A contract upon paid deposit will be sent explaining all policies. No coolers, food or drink (other than bottled water & birthday cake), piñatas, or flotation devices (Other than Coast Guard-approved PFDs) are permitted. 5 WATER PARK RULES PARK ENTRY & FOOD POLICIES No coolers allowed. You may keep them in your vehicle and have unlimited entry for the day after payment. No outside food other than bottled water and baby food (no glass jars) permitted. Birthday cakes may be brought in with a scheduled birthday party package. All swim bags will be checked to ensure outside food & drink are not brought into park due to health code restrictions. Eating and drinking are prohibited in the water. Lifeguard must be on deck before anyone enters the pool. Please shower off before entering the water. Bathing caps are highly recommended. Slides & restrooms close 15 minutes prior to park closing time. INCLEMENT WEATHER In the event of a thunderstorm, all pools (including whirlpools/spray down areas) will close for a minimum of 30 minutes after each instance of thunder or lightning. Guests are asked to leave the water park and wait in their vehicles until re-entry is safe. Water Park restrooms are closed during thunderstorms. HEALTH & SAFETY No smoking on the YMCA campus. We are a smoke-free environment. You are responsible for your children at all times. Health codes mandate that diaper changing is restricted to bathrooms. All children not potty-trained must wear swimmer diapers, rubber pants & a bathing suit. All children less than 48 tall must be banded/swim tested. Band is required. Replacement bands are $5 each. Follow all slide rules and height restrictions. All non-swimmers must stay in water below their armpits. Only U.S. Coast Guard approved PFD s (personal floatation devices) are allowed. Any child wearing a pfd must be within arm s reach of a parent. Rough play will not be tolerated. Swimmers under the age of 12 must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible person at least 16 years of age. Enter the pool from the stairs or beach entry. It is recommended to wait until food has settled after a meal to get back in the pool. (15-30 minutes) Breath holding activities are not permitted. No diving is allowed. There is no lap swim at the Water Park. No running. GENERAL RULES Slides and spray toys will be turned off 15 minutes before closing so that maintenance can be performed. Please look to the lifeguard when the whistle blows to find out information/dangers or if the pool is being closed. Lifeguards are in charge of the pool. At 3:45 PM daily Monday through Saturday there will be 15 minutes of adult swim, during which the slides will close to allow lifeguards to break and rotate.
