MEET TYPE: 4-day, prf f time, AA+ age grup meet fr SI and Out-f- District swimmers, with Prelims & Finals (champinship and cnslatin) fr mst 11-12, and and 19-ver events. There will be a Splash and Dash Finals fr the 50 s Back, Breast, Fly, & Free. A Timed Finals fr swimmers age MEET DIRECTOR: Mary Redmnd Answering Machine : Cell: POOL: Brian Bent Memrial Aquatics Cmplex, Crnad High Schl, th Street, Crnad CA Phne (619) lanes 50 meter x 25 yard pl. An additinal 25 yard warm-up area will be available during meet. The minimum water depth, measured in accrdance with Article , is 7 feet, 0 inches at the start end and 7 feet, 0 inches at the turn end. The cmpetitin curse has nt been certified in accrdance with Article C(4). Clrad timing and screbard will be in use. ELIGIBILITY: Open t SI and Out-f-District USAS swimmers wh hld a valid 2018 USA Swimming Card issued n later than Thursday, June 7, On-deck registratins are nt permitted. All USA Swimming registratin numbers will be verified with the SWIMS registratin database; swimmers withut a current registratin will be scratched frm all events, with n refund. (Team may reserve swimmer(s) spt fr the meet with a nnrefundable depsit f $25 per swimmer(s) spt. ENTRY LIMITS: This event is limited t the first 600 swimmer entries received. Additinal entries beynd the first 600 may be accepted based upn the calculated meet timeline. Entries will be accepted in the rder received until the meet capacity is reached. Entries that are rejected due t the entry limit having been exceeded will be ntified via and any entry fees returned. (Swimmers wh are qualified fr the 2018 Summer Natinal and Junir Natinal Champinships will be accepted after the meet limit is met.) The 800 free will be capped t the fastest 40 wmen and fastest 40 men. Bnus events will be granted t swimmers remved frm the 800 free wh did nt make the cut fr the event. The tp 8 swimmers will swim in Finals. RULES: Current USA swimming rules and SI Swimming meet prcedures will gvern all cmpetitin, and will take precedence ver errrs/missins f this meet annuncement. All caches and deck fficials must be able t prvide prf f USA Swimming membership upn request. Changing int r ut f swimsuits ther than in lcker rms r ther designated areas is prhibited. The use f audi r visual recrding devices, including a cell phne, is nt permitted in changing areas, rest rms, r lcker rms. Recrding devices are nt permitted behind the starting blcks during the starting sequence thrughut the meet. 2 RULES (Cntinued) Check-in. This is a deck seeded meet. Swimmers must check in with the Clerk f Curse fr each event they wish t swim. Swimmers wh fail t check in fr an event will be scratched frm that event and nt allwed t swim. Scratches are permitted withut refunds. After an event is clsed, a swimmer may nt check in r scratch. Check-in fr the first fur events f each day s prelims r timed finals sessins will clse ne-half hur prir t the start f the sessin; the remaining events will clse when the sessin starts. Unaccmpanied Athlete: Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccmpanied by a USA Swimming member cach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member cach as being prficient in perfrming a racing start r must start each race frm within the water. It is the respnsibility f the swimmer r the swimmer s legal guardian t ensure cmpliance with this requirement. N Shw Penalty. Once checked in fr a prelim r timed final event, any swimmer wh is a n shw fr that event will be barred frm their next individual event and will nt be allwed t swim that race. Swimmers wh miss their event in Finals will be barred frm further cmpetitin, frm that pint n. Distance Events. The 800 free will be a cmbined event and swum Fastest t Slwest; alternating Girls and Bys; in prelims. The tp eight (8) seeded swimmers will swim in finals. There will be n A time final 800 Free. The 800 free will swim at the cnclusin f day 1 AA prelims, after event 8. The 800 free will be capped t the fastest 40 wmen and fastest 40 men. Bnus events will be granted t swimmers remved frm the 800 free wh did nt make the cut fr the event. Prelims: Psitive Check In fr all events we will ffer check in fr the fllwing day during finals f the previus day. All events except the back, breast, fly & free will be seeded cmbined 11 and ver. Finals: The A sessins will be timed finals. The meet directr and meet referee will have the ptin t duble end the meet depending n the time line. Seeded tp 8 in the 800 free cmbined 11 & Over All finals will be separated 11-12, 13-14, & 19/Over Tp 8 frm each age grup will qualify in the 400 free and the 400 IM. The s will be timed finals in prelims Tp 16 frm each age grup will qualify in the 100 and 200 events, Tp 8 fr 19-ver swimmers Tp 8 frm each age grup (11-12, 13-14, 15-18, 19/Over)will qualify fr the Splash and Dash in the 50 yd events. Cnslatin finals (places 9-16) will be cmprised f each age grup (11-12, 13-14, 15-18, 19/Over) Start Time fr Finals: The start time fr finals will be set by the meet referee, but in any event will begin n sner than 1 hur after the cmpletin f the final heat f the timed final events each day. Start Time fr Timed Finals Sessins: Apprximately 1 hur fllwing the cnclusin f the Prelim Sessins Finals Scratch Prcedures: A swimmer must scratch r declare an intent t scratch fr an event within 30 minutes f the annuncement f the preliminary results. Finals are scratch nly (psitive check in will nt be used). A swimmer wh is a "n-shw" fr finals (riginal tp 8 r 16 places nly) will be remved frm the remainder f the meet SPLASH AND DASH 2

3 ENTRIES: This is a Prf f Time meet; nly submit times which are in the USA Swimming database since 9/1/16. Swimmers may enter nly 6 events, and are limited t swimming a maximum f 3 individual events per day. Swimmers may nly swim a max f 6 events fr the meet; fr either r bth the AA and/r A sessins. Please submit lng curse meter times; shrt curse times will be seeded after lng curse times. Entry times will be verified with the SWIMS database; entry times will be crrected in accrdance with SI Swimming entry time verificatin prcedures. Entry times which cannt be verified in SWIMS will be scratched withut refund. D nt submit NT n time entries r ET estimated time entries, as these will be rejected withut ntice. D nt cnvert entry times frm yards t meters swimmers will enter the 50 Back, 50 Breast and the 50 Fly with the best 100 times. The Splash & Dash events are numbered as the 800 series. Splash and Dash Frmat: in the tp 8 finals swimmers will be turnament seeded 1-8 based n their times frm prelims: (1 vs 8, 4 vs 5, 3 vs 6, 2 vs 7). Fr the final 4, nly the winners will mve n and swim 1/8 vs 4/5, 3/6 vs 2/7. Fr the final 2, nly the winning swimmers advance.
