2 Dear Residents, Sunshine and warmer temperatures are finally here. It s the season to spend time outdoors and to take advantage of our summer offerings. The city has two parks for you and your family to enjoy Purvis Park and Community Park: Purvis Park has an outdoor pool, tennis and pickle ball courts, picnic and playground areas, and free arts & crafts programs. Community Park has picnic and playground areas, a grass field for casual pick up games, and a three-tenths mile perimeter path with exercise stations. Back by popular demand are free yoga classes in the park. Our outdoor movie night will be on Wednesday, July 11 at Community Park featuring a family favorite, Moana. We have a fabulous lineup of bands for the Thursday evening summer outdoor concert series at John Carroll University s Hamlin Quad. This year we have some new acts, together with some old favorites returning, for a full range of musical genres. These concerts are free to attend. Simply arrive by 7:00pm with your blanket or chair and your own refreshments. There is something for everyone to enjoy this summer in University Heights. Sincerely, Michael Dylan Brennan

However, if we are not able to reschedule or make up the class, refunds will not be issued. Class Descriptions and Age Requirements Levels: Ages 4 and up - Placement is based on previous swimming experience and ability. Preschool: Ages Swimmers must be over 3 years old. Level 1 Introduction to water skills, pool safety Level 2 Fundamental aquatic skills Level 3 Stroke development guided practice Level 4 Stroke improvement develop confidence Level 5 Stroke refinement and further coordination Level 6 Swimming and skill proficiency (fitness swimming) Basic Diving - Fundamental diving skills Preschool - No parents in water, small groups, become comfortable in water Female Only Classes Sundays: June 17 - August 5, 5:45-6:30pm Male Only Classes Mondays: June 18 - August 8, 5:45-6:30pm Adult Exer-Swim $20/per season. Meets Dates will be given at parent meeting, posted on swim team bulletin board and distributed via . Parent Meeting Saturday, June 16, 11:00 am at the pavilion in Purvis Park Parents are an important part of a swim team information will be shared about ways you can support the team. Team Gear All swim team gear optional, except cap is required for girls. Pre-paid orders for team suit, t-shirt, and caps taken during swim team sign-up. Goggles recommended for all.
