3 Parent Contract Registration Fee: Covers: Coaches Salary, Team Shirt, Ribbons, Trophies, Man O War Swim Conference Insurance and Fees. $120 for 1 swimmer $235 for 2 swimmers $345 for 3 swimmers (add $25 on or after May 4th, Exception: New Members) Each swimmer will be provided a team t-shirt. Team suits, goggles, and caps are the responsibility of parents/swimmers. More information will be provided at registration. Volunteer Commitments: Parents are required to work 2 whole meets AND the conference meet (only if your child attends conference weekend). For those unable to fulfill their volunteer requirements, there is a $200 buy-out option/$50 per session. You will have until the first meet of the season to sign up for your volunteer positions. Volunteer Coordinator, Stephanie Parker, will also be at registration with volunteer sign up sheets or you can her at Failure to sign up for your volunteer positions by the end of the first meet may render your swimmer ineligible for the 2 nd meet and any subsequent meet. Transportation: Parents are asked to be responsible for their swimmers transportation to and from practice. If your child is not permitted to walk home at the end of practice then you should plan to arrive a few minutes before the end of their practice time for pick-up in the rare event that practice ends unexpectedly early. Our coaches will be moving quickly onto the next practice group and there is NO GATE MONITOR or Lifeguard on duty until the pool opens at 11:00am. 9 - Survival Kit What to bring to the meets : Wear CHST swimsuit Parents wear green or black or Team Apparel Goggles Towels (at least 2) Lawn chairs for parents Long sleeve t-shirt or sweatshirt Extra pair of dry clothes Water Healthy Snacks- pasta, fruit, bagels, sandwiches, peanut butter and crackers, raw veggies. Most meets will have concession stands. Sharpie Markers- to write what events your swimmer is swimming. The younger swimmers like their events written on their hand Team Spirit What to expect at a meet: Please be your child s biggest cheerleader!! Summer Swim is all about FUN! Directions to away meets will be ed or posted on the bulletin board in the clubhouse the week of the meet. Coach Dave usually has the events each swimmer is swimming posted in the Clubhouse on the day of the meet. For away meets, they will be posted on a fence on our team s side of the pool. Age Group Parents are the volunteers that will line the swimmers up for the events. By knowing where your child is at all times during the meet can help our age group parents get your child to their lane on time. There are benches on the tennis courts (home meets) or at the dive end of the pool for the kids to wait for their lane assignment. There are 60 events in a meet. 6 and under age group are done swimming no later than 7:30pm A team spirit stick and a stuffed catfish are given to the 2 swimmers that cheered the loudest and had the swim of the meet. This is done at the completion of the meet. Check your s and Remind 101 text alerts for rain delays or cancellations You need to sign your swimmer out if they will not be swimming certain weeks. The sign out sheet will be on the bulletin board in the clubhouse. As Always, please help your swimmer clean up their area after they are finished at the meets and above all encourage your swimmer to have good sportsmanship. Misconduct towards any of the opposing teams will not be tolerated.
