Air Massage Air baths provide a non-aggressive soft tissue massage, which is entirely different than a whirlpool massage. The soft tissue massage of a Watertech air bath is provided by millions of heated air bubbles which are released through air injectors into the water. An air massage soothes the body, boosts cardio output, opens pores and improves circulation. Watertech installs watertight air injectors in the floor and walls of all air baths. NOTE: most manufacturers reduce cost and quality by eliminating expensive watertight air injectors and substituting a drilled hole in their place. 3 Physical Therapy Tub Model shown is the 7236 PTB Specifications available at WaterTech s Physical Therapy Bath was developed for individuals who want or need an intensive high pressure hydrotherapy massage to help in the treatment of postoperative orthopedic rehabilitation, pediatric disabilities, spine or musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, etc. The Physical Therapy Bath is offered in an array of sizes and can easily be incorporated into any new home, addition or remodeling project. No matter what size bath you choose it will come equipped with 43, directional jets that massage the entire body. These jets are powered by 2, high pressure pumps and a multi speed hot air blower. An electric inline heater is factory installed and insures the temperature of the water will remain at a constant. An ozonator is also installed on all baths. Ozone is one of nature s most powerful oxidizers and can safely provide an additional level of sanitation to your bathing environment. Each bath is shipped with a Deep Soak Drain and overflow assembly that allows the tubs overflow to be closed to increase the water depth by 3 to 4 inches (specify finish when ordering). Like all Watertech baths, the Physical Therapy bath is manufactured with a scratch resistant high gloss acrylic surface and our proprietary steel reinforced tub floor. Optional finishes for the jets and the Overflow/Drain are available in Chrome, Nickel, Oil Rubbed Bronze, and Polished Brass finishes. Other options are available. NO custom pump placement option is available. Smaller pumps with limited to no warranty. Tub floor is supported with wood or plastic which will warp and flex. This leads to noise, cracks and leaks. Flexible vinyl water lines sag and trap old, dirty water when the bath is emptied. Vinyl lines are not code compliant. Other Air Baths Drilled Hole No injectors, no watertight check valves. Holes are drilled in the tubs into an air channel cavity under the tubs floor. Air channel floods when the tub is filling or the blower is off. Channel traps water after each use. Blowers automatic drying/purge cycle doesn t remove all trapped water and trapped water is unhygienic. Glued on air channel can only be serviced or cleaned only by removing the entire tub. Channel system has no check valve protection or air manifold. Provides uneven air pressure. Blower is often not heated or multi-speed and can be extremely loud. 6 5 Walk-in Tub Walk-In Tub The 5330 walk-in bathtub can be used either as a built-in bath or a free-standing bath. The bath has a low threshold with a wide inward swinging door which allows easy access for bathers with mobility constraints. Baths are available as either left or right hand drain. The door has a large, easy to use, interior locking handle for simple and trouble free closing and opening of the door. The comfortable sculptured seat is designed to position the bather in a slight reclining position that allows for an easy movement from outside the tub into the bathing area. The tubs floor is textured with a slip resistant pattern for the bather s safety. Watertechs walk-in bath comes with a free chrome cable drain system that can be opened and closed with just a twist of the overflow cover located near the top of the tub. The bath drains in less than three minutes, offering quick exit of the bath after bathing ( See bottom of this page). The bath comes standard with an easy to remove front panel providing easy access to electrical components. Optional panels are available for both ends of the tub. End panels eliminate the need to frame and finish the bath s ends and provide additional access if service is ever required. All panels clip or screw to the bath and can be easily removed. An optional extension panel can be ordered to facilitate the replacement of a standard 60 tub/shower. The baths deck on the drain end of the tub has ample space to mount a faucet and hand held spray. A one inch tile flange is incorporated into the back of the tub. The tub has a Lifetime Warranty and is made entirely in the USA. The panels are an option which can be installed, on both ends of the walk-in bath for individuals who desire a free-standing walk in bath. 36 LUCITE CAST ACRYLIC All Watertech Bath Products are made of Lucite Cast Acrylic, the premier material for bathtubs and shower bases. With a Watertech cast acrylic tub you will be getting the highest quality product with a Lifetime warranty. Today many baths are made of ABS Plastic with a thin coating of acrylic, not 1/8 inch cast acrylic. Using ABS plastic with a thin 1/144 inch thick top veneer coating dramatically reduces the tubs cost and the manufacturer can still advertise their product as acrylic to help sell it. If purchasing a tub or shower base that is hundreds of dollars less than another tub of comparable size, be assured the cheaper product is probably made of ABS plastic/acrylic. Cast acrylic was developed for bathware! ABS plastic was developed for computer keyboards, power tool housings, Lego toys etc. ABS plastic is not an abrasive resistant material or non-porous, cast acrylic is, which is why a thin top coat is applied to ABS plastic. Cast acrylic colors run completely through the material and is not painted, dyed, stained, sprayed on or a veneer top coat! If a bath or shower pan made of cast acrylic is ever damaged, a refinishing technician can make permanent repairs. ABS plastic/ acrylic products are difficult to repair and have a short life span. Remember a bath or shower pan is a permanent part of your home and not easily replaced. We suggest consumers research what a tub or shower pan is made of before making a purchase.
