1 Reading 1 Look at the text. Then underline the correct words to complete the sentences about it. a. The text presents instructions / the history of a game. b. Players need balls / racquets to play this game. / 0.4 point How to Play Dodgeball Dodgeball is a popular ball game in elementary and middle schools all over the world. The main objective of the game is to hit a player of the opposite team and, at the same time, not getting hit by other players. What you need to play: A court with a center line dividing it into two sides. 3 4 balls they should preferably be soft, so that they don t hurt players. Rules for the game: Divide players into two teams with the same number of members. Each team chooses one side of the court. Place the balls along the center line. At a signal, players run to get the balls. They try to hit players on the other team with the balls. Attention! Don t hit other players in the head or neck. Throw the ball at arms and legs, preferably. When a player is hit by a ball, he/she is out of the game. When a ball hits the ground or a wall, it is put back on the center line. Members from both teams can get it and throw it at players of the opposite team. The last team with remaining players is the winner. 2 Read the text. Then answer the questions. / 0.6 point a.
