Our Annual Turkey Doubles tournament is still underway. Plan to come out and enjoy the Mixed Doubles tournaments with food and fellowship afterwards. It was a beautiful day for the first phase of our tournament. A huge thanks to Doreen, Laurel and Lisa for organizing, planning, getting members involved and providing lots of great food! We had super member participation and thanks also to Pam, Connie, Jean, Terry and others for bringing food/dessert. And thanks to Mike for organizing and putting together the matches. Ladies A Division winners were Jan Elisa Mosca and Nancy Zusi Ladies B Division winners were Mary Whittlesey and Elise Medenbach Mens A Division winners were Rich Lamke and Larry Liehs Mens B Division winners were Peter Whittlesey and Tommaso Sera

2 Finally, we had the 50/50 Drawing for a total of $128.00, plus two certificates donated by Elise Medenbach for a 30 Minute Aromatherapy Massage with paraffin treatment on hands & feet. Winners were: Jan Elisa Mosca - $64, of which she donated $44 back to the club! Ed Hall and Gail Zarrello won the massage gift certificates. Thanks to Jan Elisa and Elise for their generosity! USTA News: Our Men s 3.0/3.5 Combo team competed in the State Championships in November. Registration for 2017 spring teams will begin January 2nd and end January 31 st. Play begins in March and ends in May, with championships in May. Contact Bob Murphy or Kathy Rioux if interested in joining a 3.0 team. Carol Hunter, Gail Daras and Gail Zarrello will also be forming teams. A beautiful evening of tennis with a fun group of people! 5 MIKE S COURT REPORT Please Note ~ Group times will start at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. for the winter months. Monday Clinic: Cancelled for the month of December. Special Clinics and Drills can be arranged for teams and groups (minimum of 4). Private Lessons: $40.00 per hour. Call to schedule. Racquet Stringing: Yes. USTA Leagues: We are forming new teams for spring season. TENNIS TIP Take advantage of the second serve. Most second serves are weak and predictable. Come to the service line after a good return by forming a wall with your partner.

6 Sunday Afternoon Tennis 2:30-4:30: Open social play. Come on out for practice or plan a foursome. The 4 th Sunday of the month we play community tennis with NBG&CC. Monday-Wednesday Friday, 10:00am and 12:00am Men's and women's competitive groups in the 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 brackets. Just sign up and show up! Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday Tennis at 10:00 am: Open mixed groups. Come out, bring a friend and have fun! Enjoy tennis fellowship and the shade of our covered porch and rocking chairs! Cold water is available or BYOB! Thursday Evening, 5:30-7:30: months. This group will be active during the spring and summer USTA Leagues: Spring Leagues will be forming in January and league play begins in February. Talk to Mike if interested. Community Tennis: The second Monday at NBG&CC and the fourth Sunday at HTRC. Participants must sign up with Kathy and may bring food and beverages for a social time after playing.
