MACHE S MEETUPS New Drop-in Tennis Program TENNIS It s not too late to sign up for winter tennis programs. RACQUETBALL The racquetball court is available to all members. Court usage is limited to racquetball only. Members can reserve court time online. If you are interested in meeting other members, please reference the book on Member Services desk. WOMEN S BASKETBALL If you are interested in womens open gym basketball, please contact Member Services with possible days & times of availability. Do you wish you could work on your tennis game more but life gets in the way? With the help of technology, WSC Tennis Professional Anne Mache is offering spontaneous one-time tennis lessons and events at Wheaton Sport Center. Is it hard to commit to regular schedule for lessons? Do your kid s schedules come first? Then this format could be perfect for you! You can access the Mache s Meetups program schedule and also register for them online at On the Meetup home page, search for tennis in the Wheaton, IL area and you ll see Tennis Tune-up Meetup click on this to find the Mache s Meetup information page. Mache s Meetups is currently over 100 members strong. You can join skill clinics such as Improve Your Serve & Return of Serve, Luke Jensen Fast Paced Drills, Groundstroke Development and tennis events such as Round Robin Doubles, Junior Tournaments, and Instructional Match Play. Many players get stuck on a tension ( I always string my racquet at 60 pounds ), even when they ve changed to a new racquet. Racquets have different string tension recommendations based the head size, stiffness, swing weight, brand, string pattern, racquet technology and construction. If you change to a new racquet or a different head size, you may also need to change your string tension. You will find the recommended tension range (there s usually a 10 pound range of acceptability) printed on your racquet. The WSC racquet stringing staff can help you determine which tension is right for you and answer your other racquet stringing questions. Wheaton Sport Center achieved PTR Proud Facility Status from the Professional Tennis Registry, which is awarded for upholding professional tennis standards HANU PATEL Champion of the USTA level 3 boys 12 s tournament in Griffith, Indiana ARIAN LAGARIJA WSC 10 & under Tennis Hall of Fame ZACH LARISON WSC 10 & under Tennis Hall of Fame BONNIE BAILEY WSC 10 & under Tennis Hall of Fame KEITH MILLS, member and husband of Tennis Director Lori Mills, was named 2015 Coach of the Year for Girls Tennis by the Illinois High School Tennis Coaches Association. He is the head coach of the girls and boys tennis teams for Timothy Christian High School in Elmhurst. Keith s fall 2015 girls team won their conference, won the York sectional and qualified all 6 players for the state tournament. This is the first time in the school s history that the girls tennis team won a sectional or qualified all 6 players.

TUITION WILL BE PRORATED ACCORDING TO YOUR START DATE. THE WSC SHOW WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8TH. DANCERS WILL BE MEASURED FOR COSTUMES BEGINNING IN JANUARY. 5 WSC CHILD CARE HOLIDAY BREAK DROP-OFF SERVICE WSC s Group Ex. Director, Lorrie Biegalski, recently spoke to the Daughters of the American Revolution Group about the importance of staying fit as we age. Afterwards, Lorrie was very inspired to meet one of the attendees who was 108 years old and rides a stationary bike daily. #YOGA #BOOTCAMP Special Classes for Holiday Break #FLEXIBILITY #STRENGTH #BALANCE For Kids 10 & older! Child Care is offering our members the opportunity to drop off your child at Child Care while you spend time getting ready for the holidays! Holiday Drop-Off is $15 per child (children after 2nd child are free) with a maximum of 3 hours per day for this service. These 3 hours are in addition to your 2 hour workout reservation, with at least a 30 minute break between the two reservations. If we are unable to accommodate your reservation, we will call you. All Child Care cancellation and no show policies apply. Advance reservations preferred, walk-ins will be permissible provided space is available. WSC Members need to sign a waiver when dropping off.
