The object of the game is to hit the shuttlecock over the et so that evetually the oppoet is uable to retur the shot. Badmito origiated i Idia i the mid-1800 s. Its popularity icreased he Eglish army officers statioed i Idia trasported the game to Eglad. I Eglad it as called badmiti. Evetually it spread to the Uited States.

3 Safety 1. Make sure to alays have a firm grip o the racket. 2. Be careful ot to hit your parter ith the racket. 3. Stay o your o court. 4. Stop playig if others eter your court. 5. 6 Scorig Poits are scored oly by both teams, servig or receivig (rally). A poit is rearded to the either team heever the other side commits a fault. If a fault is committed by the servig side, the server does ot score a poit ad loses the serve.

8 Servig Doubles Servig starts from the right or left court, depedig o if the score is odd or eve. You cotiue to serve as log as you score. The servig side sitches courts after each poit o. If a fault is made by the i side, the server loses the serve. A poit is scored ad the birdie goes to the other team. The players do ot sitch, the birdie ill go to the service court depedig o score. Play cotiues util the serve is lost. Sigles A player ca oly score hile servig. Each time they score a poit, they sitch service courts. Wheever a players score is zero or a eve umber, they serve from the right side service court. Whe the server s score is a odd umber they serve from the left side service court.
