2 Greetings Student-Athletes of CTMS, My name is Mr. McDaniel and I am the head volleyball coach for the Centennial Middle School Wolves. I am thrilled to be coaching the 8th grade Wolves this year and look forward to a great year on and off the court. I have two goals this season: Help our girls become better volleyball players and better people, and not necessarily in that order! We prioritize Safety, Respect, and Responsibility at CTMS and I promise to develop these values in your girls this season and await a season full of successes. Sincerely, Anthony R. McDaniel 7th Grade Volleyball Coach Centennial Middle School Wolves amcdaniel@craneschools.org 2

Thank you for trusting me to coach and teach your daughters, I look forward to a great season. Respectfully, Head Volleyball Coach Anthony McDaniel 3

6 1. Academics will remain the top priority of all CTMS volleyball players Academics will come first and volleyball will come second. Players will be required to turn in periodic grade checks to the coaching staff. Grades below a C will require that you spend extra time with your teachers before and/or after school until your grade improves. Volleyball players will be model students athletes and will show respect to teachers and administrators. Students who choose to not respect teachers and administrators will be dismissed from the program. 2. Being a member of the team does not guarantee playing time during the season Game time players are individuals that have earned the right to play by coming to practice, developing fundamental skills to the required level, and displaying a positive attitude simultaneously. 3. Players are expected to represent CTMS at all times Student athletes conduct themselves as model citizens at all times and do so with class and pride by treating coaches, referees, team members, opposing team members and all others with respect. Practice starts as soon as you walk into the gym. That means as soon as you enter the gym, your phone is put away, your gear is on, you grab a ball, and start playing and talking volleyball. Leave your social conversation outside and focus on getting better. b). Players are expected to be at practice, in designated practice attire, everyday. An Unexcused absence from a practice will result in benching for one set. A second unexcused absence with result in benching for a game. A third will result in dismissal from the team.
