1 The Georgetown Scholarship Program (GSP) Photo from GSP s First Annual Freshman Induction Ceremony in September 2010 Students look on as Paul Goodrich (C 65), one of GSP s founders, delivers a welcoming address
2 Why does GSP need a program? While there was not an actual program associated with GSP when it was founded, a need for student programmatic support was soon realized. Students in the first class of GSP students asked that more be done to support students outside of the scholarship. They noted that Georgetown s overwhelmingly wealthy population can make for an alienating experience on the Hilltop. It would have been nice if Georgetown had some kind of support system or community for people like me. I almost drowned my freshman year. (Amy Hang, C 09)
3 GSP & Yield Top 2 Reasons Students Turn Georgetown Down: 1. Financial Aid Offer 2.
