Vermont walked off the ground at the final siren a defeated team with the score board showing Scoresby 19-8 Vermont and confirmed by the umpires. This was an error by the goal umpires and five days later the scores were altered to read Vermont 19-11,Scoresby Vermont went on to win the premiership and the umpires were suspended.
