2 Be Aware... A crime against the property of our neighbors occurred Wednesday night - between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 2 a.m. Thursday. Wheels were stolen from two automobiles, one at 2230 Traywick Chase and one at 2240 Traywick Chase, and the cars were left on blocks. Another theft was attempted at 2505 Traywick Chase but was unsuccessful. The Alpharetta Police Department is investigating this crime. If anyone has any helpful information - if you saw or heard something out of the ordinary, or if you have surveillance video at your home near one of these addresses - please contact the police. Let's help our neighbors any way we can. In the meantime, please be aware. If you see someone unfamiliar in the neighborhood - either on foot or in a vehicle - call the police (911). Tell them you see someone suspicious, and that there was a recent theft in our neighborhood, and they will send an officer to investigate. Soliciting is prohibited in Coventry A sign is posted at the entrance - so feel free to tell people who knock on your doors selling windows or gutters or whatever to leave immediately. It does not matter if they tell you they are "doing work for your neighbor." They're not. The safest place to park your car is in your garage. Next best is your driveway. Cars parked on the street are an easier target for theft and damage. Plus, they create a hazard for other drivers. Don't park your car at the pool/tennis courts if you are not playing tennis or swimming. Unattended cars may be towed at your expense. And the pool parking lot is a secluded area, so leaving your car parked there simply is not wise. So let's ramp up our vigilance and keep a watchful eye. Be smart with our property and look out for each other. Let us know - or let the police know - if you have any information that may help the police catch these thieves.

3 COVENTRYCOVENANTS Start thinking Spring... Now is the time to take a look outside. We live in a very desirable neighborhood great location, great value and great school district. Everyone residing in the community, homeowners and renters agreed to the Covenants and we must take better care to maintain our homes and common areas. With that in mind, here are reminders from our Covenant Agreements: Fans cannot be left in windows. Blinds must maintain all their slats and appear in good condition. Garbage cans must remain out of sight until the evening before trash day. They must be put away following trash pick up and remain out of view until the next week. Trash left behind in the street on trash day must be picked up. If it s in front of your house, it s yours. Portable items (fire pits, play sets, etc.) may not be left out in view in front of your property. Newspapers must be picked up and never left in the street or driveway to disintegrate into mush. Visible mold and mildew must be pressure washed from your home s siding. Branches and leaves that fall from your trees must be removed from the street. Grass growing out of the cracks in your driveway or in the street must be removed. Pavers and landscaping bricks must be properly maintained. Grass and weeds must be removed from all flower and landscape beds. Weeds must be removed from your lawn and kept from creeping into your neighbor s lawn. Fresh brown/black mulch or pine straw should cover your landscape beds. Black plastic or weed paper must not be visible. Yards must be mowed and edged, and bushes trimmed regularly. Wooden fences must be maintained and kept in excellent condition. Chain-link or wire fencing is prohibited anywhere on any property, front or back yard. Trailers of any kind are prohibited in your driveway or on the street. Inoperable vehicles must be housed inside your garage. Covered vehicles are also prohibited. Holiday lights & decorations must be taken down in a timely manner when the holiday is over. If you see anyone littering (beer cans, fast-food containers, etc.) in any of the common areas, say something. You are a homeowner, and the common areas are your property. Littering is illegal. Dog owners must pick up after their dogs & dispose of the waste in their own trash cans. DO NOT leave your dog s waste at the curb for others to deal with. In addition, DO NOT dispose of your dog s waste bags in the storm drains. The drains run into the creek and are becoming filled with plastic dog-poop bags. Not only is this disgusting for the homeowners whose properties contain the drains, it is a violation of the Federal Clean Water Act. So dispose of your dog s waste properly in your own home trash cans. Too many cars are parked on the street, making driving difficult and walking hazardous. Cars parked on the street decrease visibility of pedestrians. Cars parked on both sides of the street make it difficult for school buses and emergency vehicles. Park your cars in your garage and driveway. If you must park on the street temporarily, park only on your side of the street and park with traffic. Parking against traffic (facing) is a traffic violation and you can receive a ticket. Many cars are speeding in our neighborhood. We ve asked the Alpharetta Police to increase its patrols in Coventry. The speed limit is 25 mph. The danger is obvious. Be responsible and slow down. If you observe someone speeding regularly, say something or call the police. If you need information regarding fencing, roofing or paint color requirements, see our Covenant Agreements at CoventryForest.com. All changes, additions and/or modifications must be approved. We re all in this together and we have a fantastic neighborhood! Let s be considerate toward our neighbors by maintaining our properties. Happy Spring!

4 COVENTRYCOVENANTS ADDITIONAL REMINDERS Attaching signs to the new posts (especially with tape) will damage the paint. Repainting, replacement of post or mailbox will be at the homeowners expense and should be replaced in a timely basis if it is dented or door is missing. The mailbox is a standard mailbox that can be purchased at Lowe's or Home Depot and can be easily replaced with a few screws. Renters need to notify their Homeowner promptly to have the mailbox replaced. Starting in Spring, as is the norm, the Architectural - Landscaping committee will begin walking through the neighborhood. If any irregularities are observed, a list will be provided to the homeowner indicating items which need to be corrected. The form can be found at the back of this newsletter which provides a sample of property maintenance items. If anyone is unsure what the rules and regulations are, please refer to the covenants. We understand that no one likes to get a violation notice, but unfortunately, there are times it has to be done to maintain our neighborhood. There is no overnight parking at the Pool / Tennis area. Offenders will be towed. Pet Owners must pick up after their pet everywhere including all common areas. GET INVOLVED Do you have a suggestion on improvements for our neighborhood?
