Location: Time Event Details Pilcher Park, 225 Gougar Road, Joliet 9am - Noon Registration Begins: (Drinks & Snacks Provided) Warm Up: 5K Walk Begins: Post Walk Party: 9:00 AM 9:45 AM 10:00 AM 11AM -Noon Who Can Participate Individuals, Groups, and Companies are welcome. Walker are also welcome to bring their dogs on a leash, as long as the dog displays a current rabies tag. Pledges Walker collect pledges prior to the walk and all adult participants are asked to gather a minimum of $25 in pledges to participate. Walkers who collect $100 or more in pledges can receive a free Whisker Walk T-Shirt if their forms and pledge dollars are returned to the shelter by August 19, Shirts will be distributed at the Walk. Build a Team Ask your family and friends to join you at the walk and collect pledges together W Seil Road, Shorewood / The Course We ll be walking through arguably the most beautiful park in the Joliet area. Our course will be mostly shaded and paved, but we ll encounter several rough patches so we don t recommend skates and roller blades, however strollers are welcome. Please note that we ll be walking through the forest through several hilly areas. We recommend that walkers bring their own bug spray and that pets be pre-treated with Frontline, etc. A full site map is available the day of the walk or online at willcountyhumane.com. Parking Parking is limited since the park hosts weddings and other events all summer long. Please see the site map for available parking. Additional parking will be available at Trinity Services directly across from the park. Awards Individual awards for top three individuals who raised the most pledges. About Will County Humane Society As Will County s original no-kill shelter we ve been serving the area for over 40 years with a single purpose, provide a safe haven for homeless pets and help them find their forever home. Every day of the year we care for over 40 homeless dogs and nearly 100 cats looking for their forever homes. We provide for their general health care, shelter and well being through our network of volunteers and resources. It s important that you know that we re a private shelter 5013C not-for-profit that receives no federal or local government dollars to run our facility and care for pets. In fact the shelter relies on generous donations from people just like you to make it all happen.

Parking Pet water stations and waste bags will be available for walkers. Walking Course Volunteers will be available for assistance with parking and guiding the walk.
