1 STROUD Food & Drink Festival Friday 3rd September - Sunday 19th September More than 80 local events over two weeks STROUD Walking Festival * One of the top 10 foodie events in the Cotswolds *Cotswolds Visitor Guide 2010

2 Welcome This Festival is part of a two-week celebration showcasing Stroud's outstanding food and drink businesses and our fantastic countryside. It will open your eyes, stimulate your senses and reveal many of the hidden treasures of this enigmatic part of The Cotswolds. Now in its fourth year and again spread over 17 days, we believe there really is something for all tastes and abilities. With over 40 walks, you can try a gentle stroll around our Museum in the Park or a 10-mile trek around the borders of our town. There are chances to explore pubs, local history, nature and Stroud s famous green credentials. Our food and drink programme is an interesting mix of new foods, themed events and special promotions. In an era dominated by supermarkets and multinationals, it is easy to lose touch with where your food comes from and who makes it. This is a chance to celebrate Stroud's great range of independent cafes, restaurants, markets, pubs, shops and producers who are all part of the lifeblood of the community. A big thanks to all the local organisations that have given up their time to help plan this event and to Stroud Town Council for its funding and support. Having now combined the Food and Walking Festivals, the Open Eco Homes, the Fringe and Vintage Fashion Festivals under the Stroud Festival Fortnight banner, the first two weeks of September is the ideal time to come and discover the delights of our area. Have a great time! Greg Pilley Bernard Jarman Bernard Wakefield-Heath Richard Davis Directors Stroud Valley Festivals Ltd Greg Pilley Bernard Wakefield-Heath Bernard Jarman Richard Davis
