State Pool Tournament March 27th - 31st Tournament Site: Wyndham Indianapolis West 2544 Executive Drive, Indianapolis, IN PLEASE READ THE CONTENTS CAREFULLY This packet contains all the necessary forms and information for players that have played in a Shaffer Entertainment Richmond Pool Leagues to enter the 2019 Indiana State Pool Championships. YOUR ENTRY DEADLINE is 4pm Friday Feb 8th I will be in the office 8am-4pm Friday Feb 8th to take your entries. You may turn your entry in prior to this but it is by appointment only, since I am not in the office at regular times. Please call me at to set a time PRIOR to Feb 8th if you are unable to make it on that day!! You may scan and your team entries to me at mgibbel@shafferentertainment.com since no payment is due with team entries. Only the Team Portion of entry / greens fees may be deducted from season winnings. ALL & Doubles fees/greens fees must be paid with your entry. Your sponsor ONLY needs to sign your entry form if they will be paying for all or a portion of your entry fee. They will be billed after entry deadline. PLEASE NOTE, if you have not made hotel reservations, the Wyndham has sold out but you may keep checking back because there are always cancellations. There are also several other hotels in the area Requests to be dropped from the Master list (2 year stay) or A List (5 year stay) for the 2020 tournament must be made by April 15th 2019 to Mike at Shaffer Entertainment and you must have been on the list the required amount of years. INDIANA STATE POOL TOURNAMENT Wednesday March 27th - Sunday March 31st Wyndham Indianapolis West, 2544 Executive Drive, Indianapolis, IN TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES Also available at: Qualifications: Games must have been played between March 1, 2018 and Feb 15, 2019 All : Must have 12 league nights and 36 games played. Junior Doubles: One player must be between the ages 9-20 years old. The adult player must be VNEA sanctioned. **There May be multiple levels based on age and participation of junior Players All Teams: Event Format 1 player may have 8 league nights and 24 games. All other players listed on the team roster must have 12 league nights and 36 games. Must have 2 original players from the same league team. Open Master & Master teams are not required to have 2 original players from the same league team. No player should be listed on two team rosters. All players listed on the team roster will be moved up if the team Places at a position to be moved up a division regardless of whether or not all players played. Junior Doubles Event Format : Race to 3 winners - Race to 2 losers Race to 3 winners - Race to 2 losers Masters: Race to 3 Open B-Division: Race to 3 winners - Race to 2 losers Open A-Division: Race to 3 Open Masters: Race to 4 Team Event Format & Master = 16 games; Open A & B = 20 games; Open Master = 25 games Substitution Rule for Team Competition A team may substitute a player during a match if the following criteria are met: 1. Opposing team Captain must be notified before the start of the round in which the substitution is being made. 2. A substitute player is not allowed to play any opposing player more than once. 3. Once a player has played, he/she must keep that same position unless removed for a round and reinstated in a later round. March 31: 8AM: Team Finals PLEASE NOTE: VNEA International Tournament rules apply. All events are double elimination. All brackets will play out. No restarts in any event. ANY PLAYER removed from the tournament for fighting or in-appropriate behavior may be barred from future IAMOA Tournament play for up to 2 years. 3 Master & A-Division Player Guidelines Open Events = Men or Women I.A.M.O.A. Indiana State Pool Tournament March 27-31, 2019 Lady Master players that play in the Open events will be ranked the same as an A Division player. Master teams have no requirement for the number of original players. Open A Division teams may have (1) Men s Master player listed on roster. No limit for Women s Master players. Open B Division teams may have (1) A Division player or (1) Master player listed on roster - No Men s Master players teams may have (1) Master player listed on roster. ALL VNEA & Professional Player Rankings apply to the Indiana Tournament!! Requests to be dropped from Master and A-lists must be made by April 15, 2019 for the 2020 tournament. You MUST make the request, it will not happen automatically. 6 Junior Doubles Entry 2019 I.A.M.O.A. INDIANA STATE POOL TOURNAMENT Saturday March 6pm Doubles Team Entry Fee = $20 No greens fee due for Junior Doubles event Youth player must be between 9-20 years old. Adult partner must be VNEA sanctioned. Pre-registration is required for this event. NO ON SITE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED!!!! Every effort will be made to wait for any adult player still playing in the tournament, but the event cannot be held up too long, therefore it is recommended you have an adult alternate in mind just in case. Anyone may sub for the adult as long as they are VNEA sanctioned.
