Injured players In the event a player becomes injured: The match is allowed to continue until the ball goes out of play if a player is, in the opinion of the referees, only slightly injured. Play is stopped if, in the opinion of the referees, a player is seriously injured. The referees must ensure that the injured player is carried off the pitch safely and swiftly. A player is not allowed to receive treatment on the pitch, unless the seriousness of the injury requires it.
