GENERAL 1.1 LEGAL AGE All players in the DOUBLECORK, INC. dart league (hereafter League) must be at least twenty one years of age without exception. 1.2 APPLICABLE LAW All individuals in the League agree to abide by all State and Local laws; the League will not be held liable for any failure to do so on their part. 1.3 AUTHORITY The League retains sole discretion and authority to enforce these rules as set forth herein. 1.4 RULE VIOLATIONS Rule violations are subject to point penalty or suspension at the sole discretion of the League. Complaints of rule violations must be submitted to the League for action. 1.5 SPORTSMANSHIP Harassing, heckling, abusive language, fighting, and violent or disruptive behavior is strictly forbidden. The penalty for fighting is suspension. 1.6 PENALTIES When a point penalty has been assessed for a rule violation, subsequent violations of that same rule will result in a two point penalty. 1.7 RESPONSIBILITY Players are responsible for their darts; a point penalty will be assessed for throwing a dart anywhere other than at a dart board. If a person is struck with a thrown dart excluding accidentally deflected darts the responsible player will be suspended. 1.8 PAYMENT OF FEES AND DUES Sponsors and players alike are required to remit fees and dues as set forth by the League when due. Failure to pay fees and or dues may be grounds for suspension at the sole discretion of the League. 2. EQUIPMENT 2.1 DART BOARD The dart board must be a standard English bristle board, 20 point clock-face, with wire separated point areas. The dart board will be set up with the center bull 5' 8" from the floor, the throwing point of the toe line (hereafter Oche) 7' 9 1/4 from the face of the board, the diagonal distance from center bull to the throwing point of the Oche 9' 7 3/8, with the Oche centered on the center bull. 2.2 ILLUMINATION Both the dart board and score board will be well illuminated and visible to all players and spectators. 2.3 POSITIONING The dart board must be positioned so that no obstacle can interfere with the thrower. 2.4 MAINTENANCE The bar owner is responsible for maintaining the dart board, score board, out chart, and scoring materials as well as proper illumination of both the dart board and score board. 2.5 DARTS All darts must be solid steel point darts. 3. DEFINITIONS 3.1 SEASON A dart Season includes regular and/or playoff darts during a specific time period which frequency is as determined by the League. 3.2 PLAYER The League is open to any person without bias subject only to the minimum age requirement. 3.3 TEAMS CAPTAIN A Captain is responsible for his/her Team, for adherence to the League Rules, and for running League play REPLACEMENT A Captain whose Team has been assessed three point penalties during a single Season will be replaced CO-CAPTAIN A Co-Captain may substitute for a Captain PLAYERS Teams consist of a Captain, an optional Co-Captain, and a minimum of four players VERIFICATION The Captain of an opposing Team can request that an opposing player provide proof that he/she is part of that Team. 2 3.4 LEAGUES TEAM LEAGUE The Team League is structured play between Teams as organized from Season to Season under the League SINGLES LEAGUE The Singles League is structured play between individuals as organized from Season to Season under the League. 3.5 ROSTERS A Roster is the form made out to the League for a Team ROSTER CHANGES Teams have four weeks to make Roster changes; the League reserves the right to allow or deny any Roster changes ROSTER MINIMUM In the event the number of players on a Team drops to or under the minimum, the Team is allowed to add players to reach this minimum plus one extra player at any point in the Season CHANGING TEAMS Players may not be added to a Team's Roster after the fourth week if that player has played for another Team during the current Season DEADLINE No other changes may be made after the fourth week without being submitted, reviewed, and allowed by the League; the League has five days to make this decision INELIGIBILITY Any player removed from a roster becomes ineligible to play in any further games. 3.6 DIDDLE A cork throw (hereafter Diddle) is used to determine who starts some games CORK RULE Double cork beats single cork, no single cork beats a single cork and no double cork beats a double cork WINNER The player keeping score determines the winner of any Diddle and determines if a rethrow is required RETHROW If a rethrow is required, the order of throw is reversed DART PULL If a dart is in the cork or double cork and the result has been noted, the thrower may pull the dart or the opposing thrower may request the dart be pulled. 3.7 GAMES SCORING AREA The Scoring Area is the area inside the outer doubles ring '01 '01 games start at the count equal to the name of the game, the combined points thrown in a round of 3 darts (hereafter Round) are subtracted from the score SCORING Points scored: double ring, double number of that field; triple ring, triple number of that field; small and large pie, single number of that field WINNER The game is won when the remaining score is hit exactly with the final dart within the double ring or double cork (hereafter Check Out) in one Round or less BUST In the event darts thrown add up to more than what is needed to Check Out an '01 game, it is a Bust and no points are gained or lost. In the event the combined points thrown in a Round when subtracted from the remaining score leaves a player with one point, it is a Bust and no points are gained or lost CHECK OUT Once a Check Out has been hit the game is over and any subsequent darts do not count is a three against three player game START The points start when a dart hits within the double ring or double cork (hereafter Double In); any darts thrown before the Double In do not count TEAM Team 501 is a two against two player game START The points start with a Double In; any darts thrown before the Double In do not count INDIVIDUAL Individual 501 is a one against one player game START The points start immediately; no Double In is required is a one against one player game START The points start with a Double In; any darts thrown before the Double In do not Rev. 16 Aug of 10

3 count CRICKET DIDDLE A Diddle will determine who starts the game unless otherwise stated; one player from each side will Diddle NUMBERS Cricket numbers are comprised of 20 through 15 and the cork; numbers can be thrown in any order MARK A Mark is a dart scored with one dart TRIPLE MARK A Triple is scored by a dart hitting within the triple ring of a valid number DOUBLE MARK A Double is scored by a dart hitting within the double ring of a valid number or double cork SINGLE MARK A Single is scored by either a dart hitting within the numbered pie of a valid number outside of the triple and double rings or by hitting a single cork CLOSED NUMBER A number is Closed when three of that number has been scored by hitting any combination of singles, doubles, or a triple OPEN NUMBER An Open number is one which has not been closed POINTS Points are scored by hitting Closed numbers which the opponent has Open WINNING The game is won when all of the numbers are Closed while not behind in points Team Team Cricket is a two against two player game DIDDLE Either of the two team members from either team may Diddle Individual Individual Cricket is a one against one player game CHOICE FORMAT A game of Choice is one whose game format is determined by the winner of a Diddle DOUBLES Choice in a two against two player game is either Team Cricket or SINGLES Choice in a one against one player game is either Individual Cricket or SET A Set is a best two out of three games (hereafter Legs) A SET A Set in any level designated by the League as A or above will be best three out of five games STANDARD A Standard Set is a Cricket, an '01, and a Choice MUGS AWAY The loser of the first Leg starts the second Leg when no rule specifies otherwise FINAL LEG If a third Leg is necessary and no rule specifies otherwise, the winner of the first Leg calls a coin toss; the winner of the coin toss has the choice of who will Diddle first FINAL LEG START When the third Leg is Choice, the winner of the Diddle also starts the game TEAM SET A Team Set is a two against two player game '01 SET The '01 game in a Team Set is SET A 501 Set is a Set of 501 Legs ORDER Team Sets may be played in either player order per leg INDIVIDUAL An Individual Set is a one against one player game '01 SET The '01 game in an Individual Set is SET A 301 Set is a Set of 301 Legs. 3.8 POINTS PER ROUND DEFINED Points per Round (PPR) will be used as the measurement of a 501 Singles League player's ability. PPR is the average points earned per round of three darts thrown in 501 Singles League play NON-SCORING ROUND A non-scoring round is a round worth no points; a Bust or all three darts outside of the scoring area BUST SCORING A Bust will always count as three darts (one Round) regardless of which dart causes the Bust. 4 3.8.3 TOTAL DARTS Total Darts is the sum of all scoring and non-scoring rounds plus the winning round of 1, 2, or 3 darts for the winner of the leg POINTS HIT Points Hit is 501 for the winner of a leg and 501 less the remaining score for the loser. 3.9 MARKS PER ROUND DEFINED Marks per Round (MPR) will be used as the measurement of a Cricket Singles League player's ability. MPR is the average marks earned per round of three darts thrown in Cricket Singles League play NON-SCORING ROUND A non-scoring round is a round worth no marks; all three darts outside of the scoring area which counts as three darts thrown (one Round) TOTAL DARTS Total Darts is the sum of all scoring and non-scoring rounds plus the winning round of 1, 2, or 3 darts for the winner of the leg LEVELS DEFINED There are four qualification levels in each Singles League: Masters, A, B, and C PPR QUALIFICATION The PPR qualification for each Level is: Masters eighty (80) or more, A sixty (60) or more, B forty five (45) or more, and C forty five (45) or less MPR QUALIFICATION The MRP qualification for each Level is: Masters over four (4), A over three (3), B over two (2), and C two (2) or less BRACKETS REPRESENTATIVE A Bracket Representative is responsible for his/her Bracket, for adherence to the League Rules, for fee collection, for entering of match reports, for forwarding of fees, and for running League play PLAYERS A Bracket consists of a Bracket Representative and five to seven other players EXCLUSIVITY A player may not play in more than one Bracket per Singles League BRACKET CHANGES The Bracket Representative has four weeks to make Bracket changes; the League reserves the right to allow or deny any Bracket changes REPLACEMENT A replacement player will assume neither point standings nor PPR of the replaced player in a Bracket CHANGING BRACKETS Players may not be added to a Bracket if that player has played for another Bracket in the same Singles League during the current Season DEADLINE No other changes may be made after the fourth week without being submitted, reviewed, and allowed by the League; the League has five days to make this decision. 4. ORGANIZATION OF INDIVIDUALS 4.1 ARRANGEMENT Singles League play will be arranged geographically by County, Level, and Bracket. 4.2 COUNTY REPRESENTATIVE Each County will have a County Representative with the responsibilities of managing League play, handling League communication, arbitrating disputes, and participating with peers in the ongoing management of the League. 4.3 AUTHORITY County Representatives will be under the authority of the League and will be responsible for Bracket Representatives in their County. 5. SCORING 5.1 SCOREKEEPER A player must score each game (hereafter Score Keeper). 5.2 DISTRACTION The Score Keeper will face the board and not distract the thrower at any time during the throw. 5.3 POSITION The Score Keeper must stand while scoring unless physically incapable of doing so. 5.4 MOVEMENT Only when the thrower asks the Score Keeper for scoring information should the Score Keeper move towards the board or indicate the score COMPLETE ROUND After a Round has been thrown, the Score Keeper can move to view the Rev. 16 Aug of 10

5 score better. 5.5 COACHING At no time can a Score Keeper tell the thrower what to throw or what is needed for an out; players are responsible for their own score. 5.6 INDICATION The Score Keeper may indicate a Double In or Check Out without being asked. 5.7 FALLEN DART If a dart falls out of the board before the score is marked, the points are lost. 5.8 REMOVING DARTS Players must wait until the Score Keeper has viewed and marked the score before removing his/her darts from the dart board; if the player removes his/her darts before the Score Keeper has viewed and marked the score, the player loses any points he/she may have had. 5.9 COUNTED DART A shot will be counted as long as the point of the dart remains in the board CORRECTIONS Any corrections to the score must be made before that player takes his/her next turn OBVIOUS ERRORS Obvious mistakes can be changed at any time OCHE Dart throwers must have both feet behind the throwing point of the Oche TEAM SCORING SCORE KEEPER Each Team must supply a player to be the Score Keeper REPLACEMENT Only a Captain can request that the Score Keeper be replaced DISCREPANCIES Discrepancies in the score can be relayed to the Score Keeper by either Captain CORRECTION AGREEMENT Both Captains must agree with a correction to the score OUT OF TURN If a player throws out of turn, the opposing Captain can allow the points to be scored: if the points are scored, the player who threw out of turn will be skipped upon their next turn in a singles game, or the order for that round will be reversed in a team game; if the opposing Captain does not allow the points to be scored, the scheduled player must shoot COACHING Coaching is permitted by anyone on their Team with the exception of the current Score Keeper OCHE If one or both feet are past the proper point on the Oche, the opposing Captain can inform the dart player of his/her action; if this is repeated by the same player, the points thrown will be lost. 6 NOTABLES 6.1 DEFINITION A Notable is the scoring of certain combinations of darts thrown during game play. 6.2 ENTIRETY All darts must count in their entirety. 6.3 WRITTEN Notables must be written on the score sheet. 6.4 CRICKET NOTABLES WHITE HORSE All darts in the triple ring of three different untouched valid numbers ROUND OF 9 All darts in the triple ring of three valid numbers HAT TRICK All darts in any combination of single or double corks BLACK HAT All darts in the double cork. 6.5 '01 NOTABLES TON SEVENTY A Double In or Check Out of 170 points TON EIGHTY All darts in the triple ring of the twenty HIGH ON A Double In of at least one hundred points HIGH OUT A Check Out of at least one hundred points NOTABLES INCLUSION 301 Notables include '01 Notables DEFINITION These Notables are for 301 games completed in a certain number of darts starting with the Double In dart and ending with the Check Out dart PERFECT GAME A perfect 301 game of 6 darts THIRD ROUND A third round game of seven through nine darts. 6 NOTABLES INCLUSION 501 Notables include 301 Notables PERFECT GAME A perfect 501 game of 9 darts. 7. MATCHES 7.1 START TIME Matches start at 8:00 PM and must start by 8:15 PM. 7.2 LATE CONTACT If there is a chance that the Match may start late, the party not able to be there on time must contact the opposing party. 7.3 POSTPONEMENT Matches may be postponed due to inclement weather by either party who is responsible for contacting the opposing party. 7.4 MAKE UP In the event a Match can t be played as scheduled, both parties must agree on when and where the makeup Match will be played. 7.5 MAKE UP DEADLINE Any Matches that need to be made up must be completed within two weeks of the originally scheduled Match; failure to do so will result in point penalties for Teams and suspensions for individuals at the sole discretion of the League. 7.6 COMPLETION The Match must be played to the end. 7.7 TEAM MATCHES DAY OF THE WEEK Team Matches are on Tuesday nights FORFEITS Any Team which does not show up for a scheduled Match except as allowed herein will Forfeit and be suspended; all points earned by and against this Team may be redistributed at the sole discretion of the League EXCLUSIVITY No player may play in more than one type of game in a Match; any combination of Singles games in a Match counts as one type CHANGES Any change during a Match may be requested by either Captain subject to the approval of the opposing Captain SHORT-HANDEDNESS Matches cannot be delayed due to Teams playing short handed START Teams can start short handed; if the missing player is not there by the time his/her game is to start, it is up to the Captains to decide if they will play another game and return to the game in question, take the loss, or play short handed SHORT-HANDED ORDER In the event that a Team is short handed, the player will throw in the scheduled order that he/she would play if the full Team were present DUAL SHORT-HANDED In the event that all players on both sides are absent for a game or are unable to play a game, the Captains can use a coin toss to decide which Team gets the points. If there is at least one player present and scheduled to play in a game, he/she must play short handed. 7.8 INDIVIDUAL MATCHES CONTACT Players may also contact the Bracket Representative or County Representative in lieu of the opposing party DAY OF THE WEEK Matches are on one designated week night which is agreed upon before commencement of the Season FORFEITS Any individual who does not show up for a scheduled Match except as allowed herein will Forfeit and be suspended; all matches played against this individual and notables earned by this individual will be invalidated without recourse. 7.9 MATCH FORMATS PRACTICE ROUNDS Each player playing a game has a maximum of four practice rounds before the game begins DELAY OF GAME Players are to take their turn within a reasonable time frame and are not to delay the game TEAM MATCH FORMAT A Match consists of two games of Team 501, two games of Team Cricket, two 301 Rev. 16 Aug of 10

7 Sets, and two Individual Cricket Sets GAME START The visiting Team starts the first of each game, the home Team starts the second TEAM SETS Team Sets in any level designated by the League as 1 or above will be best two out of three games; the second leg will be started by the opposite team; the third leg where necessary will be decided by Diddle with the original starting team choosing who diddles first A TEAM CRICKET SETS Team Cricket Sets in any level designated by the League as 1A will be best two out of three games; the second leg will be started by the opposite team; the third leg where necessary will be decided by Diddle with the original starting team choosing who diddles first SINGLES SETS Singles Sets will be best two out of three games; the second leg will be started by the opposite player; the third leg where necessary will be decided by Diddle with the original starting player choosing who diddles first SCORE KEEPERS Score Keepers: home scores the first of each game, visitors the second INDIVIDUAL MATCH FORMAT A Match consists of 501 Sets or Cricket Sets WINNER A player must win three Sets to win a Match START The player scheduled as Away will call the result of a coin toss, winner of the coin toss will Diddle first, winner of the Diddle will start the odd numbered Legs in the odd numbered Sets (1, 3, and 5); loser of the Diddle will start the odd numbered Legs in the even numbered Sets; the opposite player will start all other Legs SCORE KEEPER The player who is not currently shooting scores each throw unless arrangements have been made for a third party Score Keeper. 8. MATCH REPORTS 8.1 LEGIBILITY The report must be written in clear and legible hand writing. 8.2 TOP COPY The top copy is to be mailed by the responsible party to the League. 8.3 RECEIPT Match reports must be received within seven days of the Match. 8.4 COMMUNICATION Requests, ideas, and disputes may be written on the back of the copy mailed to the League. 8.5 TEAM MATCH REPORTS SUPPLIED The home Captain is required to supply required Match reports IN THE BLIND Match reports will be filled out blindly by each Captain PRE-GAME Match reports must be filled out prior to game play SEQUENCE The Match should be played out in the Match report sequence OUT OF SEQUENCE If the Match can t be played out in sequence, the Captain of the Team that is able to play the game has the right to tell the opposing Captain to play short handed, take the loss, or go back to that game at a later time AUTOMATIC FORFEITS Any game played with any one ineligible player will result in the automatic forfeit of that game MAILING The home Team is responsible for mailing the Match report SIGNATURE Match reports must by signed by both Captains COMPLETENESS The home Team is responsible for completed Match reports COMMUNICATION SIGNATURES Requests and ideas need only the signature of the Captain with the request or idea, disputes need the signatures of both Captains KIT REPLACEMENT The Captain is responsible for his Team s kit; there will be a $15 replacement fee FALSIFICATION Intentional falsification of any area of a Match report will result in the suspension of the Captain responsible. 8 8.6 INDIVIDUAL MATCH REPORTS SUPPLIED The Bracket Representative is required to supply required Match reports ENTERED Match reports are to be entered electronically on the League web site by the Bracket Representative KIT REPLACEMENT The Bracket Representative is responsible for his Bracket s kit; there will be a $25 replacement fee FALSIFICATION Intentional falsification of any area of a Match report will result in the suspension of the Bracket Representative responsible. 9 PLAYOFFS 9.1 TEAM PLAYOFFS PLAYER QUALIFICATION Each player must have played at least four games during the regular Season to qualify for Team playoffs; no exceptions DIVISION PLAYOFFS Teams in each division will compete as determined by their standing at the end of the regular Season for the title of Division Champion DETERMINATION The number of teams and the order of play will be as determined by the League for that Season COUNTY PLAYOFFS League Division Champions in the same county in the same division will compete against each other as determined by the League for the title of County Champion STATE PLAYOFFS League County Champions in the same division will compete against each other as determined by the League for the title of State Champion. 9.2 INDIVIDUAL PLAYOFFS COMPETITION Players in each bracket may compete against each other as determined by the League DETERMINATION This playoff participants, seeding, format, and location will be determined by the League depending on the number of players, Brackets, and Counties participating in that Season. 9.3 PLAYOFF MATCH WINNERS TEAM PLAYOFF MATCH The first Team to get nine points wins each playoff round INDIVIDUAL PLAYOFF MATCH The player who wins the playoff match wins each playoff round. 10 TIE BREAKERS 10.1 TEAM MATCH Teams will play one Team Set of Cricket, 501, Choice; team member substitutions may be made at any time during this Set with the stipulation that the replaced player may no longer play in the Set REGULAR SEASON TEAM REGULAR SEASON TIE-BREAKER ORDER a) Points Per Match, b) head to head Match wins, c) head to head total points, d) total Match wins, e) one head to head playoff HEAD TO HEAD PLAYOFF The Team playoff winner is the first Team to score five points INDIVIDUAL REGULAR SEASON TIE-BREAKER ORDER a) Winning leg percentage, b) PPR PLAYOFF PLAYOFF MATCH TIE BREAKER Play one Team Match Tie Breaker if tied after all regular matches have been played. 11 AWARDS 11.1 TEAM AWARDS TEAM TRANSFERS First and last place Teams in a division will be moved for the subsequent Rev. 16 Aug of 10

9 Season if both a division and a position are available DIVISION FIRST PLACE The first place Team at the end of the regular Season will be moved up one division HIGHEST DIVISION Teams will not be forced to move up into the highest division TOP TWO DIVISIONS If the substantially same Team in either of the top two divisions has won the playoffs in consecutive seasons, the Team will be disbanded for the next regular season with no more than two members from this Team able to play on any one Team in the ensuing season DIVISION LAST PLACE The last place Team at the end of the regular Season will be moved down one division HIGHEST DIVISION Teams will no be forced to move down from the highest division INELIGIBILITY Players ineligible for the playoffs are ineligible for team awards SHIRTS Shirts are awarded as designated by the League for that Season ONE SET ONLY No Team will be eligible for more than one set of shirts per Season; they will be awarded the highest shirts won TEAM AWARDS Awards are presented to Teams as designated by the League for that Season INDIVIDUAL TEAM AWARDS SEASON AND PLAYOFFS Awards are presented for Notables as designated by the League for both regular Season play and playoffs HIGH IN/HIGH OUT AND STATISTICAL AWARDS The highest Double In and the highest Check Out each week as well as statistical awards as tracked by the League for the regular Season in each Division in various categories will be awarded as designated by the League for that Season COMBINATIVE Multiple individual awards earned by the same player may be combined at the discretion of the League SINGLES LEAGUE AWARDS MONETARY The Singles League is a money league funded by player fees as set by the League SELF FUNDED Playoff awards will be paid as determined by the League for that season. 12 SPORTSMANSHIP 12.1 LINE OF SIGHT Spectators and players must align themselves out of the shooters line of sight and behind the Oche SHAKING HANDS Players will begin and end each game by shaking hands with their opponent TEAM MATCHES Team Matches will end by shaking hands with the opposing Team NOISE Excessive noise is not allowed while a player is shooting CELEBRATIONS Players may not celebrate a victory before shaking hands to end a game. 13 SUSPENSIONS 13.1 FIGHTING The length of suspension for fighting will be for the rest of the current Season and no less than one half of a Season FALSIFICATION The length of suspension of a Captain or Bracket Representative for Match report falsification will be for the rest of the current Season and no less than one half of a Season RESPONSIBILITY The length of suspension for hitting anyone through irresponsibly thrown darts will be: THROWN for the rest of the current Season and no less than one full Season if the dart is propelled with a distinct throwing motion, OR Rev. 16 Aug of 10

10 ACCIDENTAL for a minimum of two games FORFEITS The length of suspension for a Team or individual Forfeit will be for the remainder of the current Season and the next full Season and no less than one and one half Seasons. Rev. 16 Aug of 10
