6 *Please note: This above rules are subject to change if registration numbers are low in order to RULES APPLICABLE TO ALL COMPETITIONS FORFEITING: It is the responsibility of the players and team captains (where applicable) to find a fill-in player if they don t have a full team available. A reserve list with available players will be made public to assist in this. There should be no instance where a team or player does not take to the court without finding a reserve player to fill their spot, or notifying the Sports Centre. If a reserve list player cannot be sourced, players are to notify the Sports Centre reception on by 12pm on the day of the scheduled game to allow the Sports Centre staff to seek other means of finding a player. Three forfeits in a season, even with notification will result in you being taken out of the competition and loss of entry fee. GAME TIME: The scheduled game time is the time at which you / your team is to be ON THE COURT. Please ensure that your team arrives AT LEAST 10 minutes prior to the staring time to organise and ensure games will start on time. If you play in the first or last time slot, it is appreciated if players could help competition managers set up/pack all other equipment. RESERVE LISTS: A reserve list will be used for individual competitions for players who wish to play but registered after the specific competition maximum was reached. Players on this list will not have to pay competition fees, and will be used if a team or player is searching for a suitable fill in if unavailable one week. Notification will be up to the teams or individual players, so advanced warning may not always be possible (however we encourage at least 24 hours when known). PLAYING BY THE RULES: Players will referee their own matches. It is up to the players themselves to behave in an orderly manner and to treat the other players with respect and kindness. If there is a dispute between players, they can try to sort it out themselves first. If they cannot sort out the issue, then they can call upon the competition manager to help them. Scores must be kept between players. It is highly recommended that each player knows the scoring of tennis well enough so that they can keep their own scores. CHANGES TO RULES La Trobe Sport reserves the rights to change or make amendments to the above competition structure and fixtures at any time to ensure the competition runs smoothly. If you have any questions, please speak to a competition coordinator on the night, or call La Trobe Sport Centre reception on for clarification. Last modified 20 February
