1 PROSPECT UNITED SOCCER CLUB Summer Sccer - RULES OF THE GAME The nrmal FIFA rules f ftball will apply except in the fllwing situatins: The Pitch The pitch shall be rectangular in shape. The length f the tuchline shall be greater than the length f the gal line. The minimum size f a field will be 45m x 30m. The maximum size f a field will be 60m x 45m. The Penalty areas will be 7m max and n less than 5m. A Penalty mark is placed at the apex f the circle. The centre circle is 3m. Lines shall be marked 80mm wide minimum. Where pssible, technical areas fr substitutins may be marked. Gals The gals must be made frm suitable safe material. Width must nt exceed 3m and height must nt exceed 2m. Please see Ftball NSW Gal Pst Safety Bulletins. The Ball Yu will need a match ball and it s yur respnsibility t have it at every game. NO BALL NO GAME. Registratin Of Players Each team can nly register a maximum f 10 players. Only registered players will be permitted t participate in any game. Teams that use unregistered players will frfeit that game. Players are nly allwed t be registered in ne team. Each team must have a minimum f 6 paid and registered players t be included int a cmpetitin. Teams will nly be allwed t register further players befre the cmp starts and nly after a min f 6 players have already been paid fr prir t the clse f registratin date. All players must prvide there FFA numbers t participate in the cmpetitin t be cvered by insurance.. Registratin Fees Registratin fees are payable nly via Cheque and psted befre the clsing date as a team payment. $60 per player which includes, refs fees, team ball, match fees and insurance. All fees must be paid befre any team is included int the cmpetitin. Players Equipment/Unifrm A player must nt use any equipment, r wear anything (including any type f jewellery) that culd be dangerus t himself r anther player. Medi-Alert devices are exempt frm this rule. The basic cmpulsry equipment cnsists f a numbered shirt, scks and shrts. Shin pads must be wrn and must be a crrect fit fr the players size. They shuld be entirely cvered by the scks and be made f a suitable safe material that prvides a reasnable degree f prtectin (Deemed by the referee). All Players must wear sccer bts t participate. The galkeeper must wear clurs different frm everyne else n the field. The Gal Keeper is permitted t wear lng trusers r track pants. All players in the same team (Galkeepers excluded) must have identical playing strips and als must have a clearly identified number that crrespnds t the ne n the team sheet. All teams must cmply with this ruling befre they cmmence.

2 Clash f Playing Strips In the event f a clash f clurs the secnd team n the draw will wear the allcated bibs. If team strips clash in semi s r finals then bth teams will change t avid any advantage t either team. The Referee A referee shall be appinted fr all matches. The referee shall cntrl all aspects f the match and shall make themselves aware f the laws f the game and the reprting prcedures fr any infringements. The referee shall be guided by the hter/time keeper system fr each match. The decisins f the referee cncerning the facts f play are final. The referee may change a decisin that is incrrect prvided that play has nt restarted r the match is nt ended. Duratin f the Match Games will be played ver 15 minute halves with a 2 minute half time break. N Injury time will be played EXCEPT in the FINAL, and then nly at the referee s discretin. This time will be recrded by an appinted timekeeper and added t the match at the cmpletin f nrmal time. Teams nt ready t start within 5 minutes after the designated time will frfeit the match and the ppsing team, if they were ready t play, will receive full match pints (3) with a (3) gal tally. The abve ruling als ges fr any team that allws a NON REGISTERED player t take the field and fr any team that cannt prvide a minimum f 4 players t cmmence the game. Start and Restart f Play A cin will be tssed and the winner f the tss will determine which gal it will defend fr the first half f the match, the team lsing the tss will take the kick ff. The secnd half will cmmence with bth teams changing ends with the team wh wins the tss taking the kick ff fr the secnd half start. A Kick Off is the way f starting the match r restarting the match. At the start f the match. After a gal has been scred. At the start f the secnd half. At the start f any perid f extra time. A gal can be scred directly frm the kick ff. All players will be in their wn half. The ppnents f the team kicking ff must be at least 3mt away frm the ball. The ball shall be statinary n the centre spt. The referee shall signal. The ball is deemed in play as sn as it mves frward. The player kicking ff may nt tuch the ball a secnd time until anther player tuches it. If a team scres a gal, the kick ff will be taken by the nn-scring team. Nte: If the player taking the kick ff tuches the ball a secnd time, a free kick will be awarded t the nn-ffending team. In the event f any ther infringement during kick ff, the kick ff will be re-taken. Fr all ther stppages, the referee will re-start play with a drpped ball prvided the ball is within the field f play at the time f the stppage. The ball is in play when it tuches the field after being drpped by the referee. The referee will drp the ball again if a player tuches it prir t the ball hitting the grund r if the ball leaves the field f play befre being tuched by a player. Ball In and Out f Play The ball shall be deemed ut f play when it cmpletely crsses the tuch r gal lines r if the referee has stpped play. The ball is in play if it rebunds frm the gals directly nt the pitch r it hits the referee and rebunds directly nt the field f play. T restart the game nce the ball has left the field via the sideline, players are required t kick the ball back in t cntinue play. Oppsing team must be at least 5 metres frm the ball.

If the kicker takes mre than 5 secnds, the referee will award the kick in t the ppsitin. The ball must be statinary n the side line prir t the kick in. All players must be 5mt frm the ball. The kicker cannt kick the ball a secnd time unless anther player tuches it. The ball is deemed in play as sn as it enters the field f play. Crners will still apply as per FIFA Rules. (Gals can be scred) Nte: if a player kicks the ball a secnd time befre being tuched by anther player the referee will award a free kick t the ppsitin. If an ppnent impedes a player attempting a kick in they will receive a cautin. Methd f Scring A gal is scred when the whle f the ball crsses the gal line between the gal psts and the crss bar prviding the laws f the game have nt been infringed prir. When the ball crsses the gal line after the referee/hter has signalled half r full time the gal will nt cunt. A gal can be scred bth utside and inside the penalty area. In the penalty area the nly way a gal can be scred is frm any part f the bdy except a direct sht, s a gal can be scred with the head, chest, thigh etc r a deflectin. The ball may be played by any player/team within the penalty area. Gals can als be scred directly ff kick ffs, gal kicks and crners. Gals can als be scred frm Kick Ins nly after anther player has tuched the ball r it has taken a deflectin. Fr teams that scre 5 clear gals mre than the ppsing team will be issued with a BONUS pint. Free Kicks Free kicks will be awarded as per the FIFA Rules f The Game. All Free kicks will be awarded as DIRECT. All players frm the ffending team must be 5mt away frm the ball during a free kick. The free kick will be re-taken if players d nt bserve the abve. The kicker cannt tuch the ball a secnd time unless anther player has tuched it. All free kicks must be taken within 5 secnds f the ball being placed r the free kick will be awarded t the ppsitin. Penalty Kicks (Offences that ccur within the gal muth) A penalty kick will be awarded if a player cmmits an ffence within his wn penalty area, irrespective f the psitin f the ball at the time f the infringement prviding that the ball is in play at the time. The penalty kick will be taken frm the mark at the apex f the gal circle with all ther players at least behind the psitin f the ball. The Penalty taker will be nminated. The gal keeper will remain n his gal line and between the gal psts. The Penalty taker will nt be allwed t tuch the ball a secnd time unless tuched by anther player r gal keeper * This rule is exempt nly in the case f the gal keeper tuching the ball twice befre anther team mate r in case f a pass back infringement. The defending side will be allwed t make a wall n the gal line and the kicker must take it frm the edge f the arc clsest t the incident. Fuls and Miscnduct The Prspect cmmittee will prduce a Mandatry Penalty fr each dismissible ffence. Fair, safe but cmpetitive play is expected between players.

4 A player dismissed frm the field f play cannt remain n the pitch, r in the technical area. They must vacate the vicinity f the pitch. After tw minutes, a substitute player may replace the dismissed player r nly if the ppsing team scres befre the tw minutes is up. All FIFA Laws apply fr Fuls and Miscnducts. Players receiving tw cautins (Yellw Cards) will be dismissed frm the field f play. Any player that receives a straight red r 2 yellw s in any match will nt nly be dismissed frm the field fr the entire match, but will als receive an autmatic 1 match suspensin. Fr serius miscnduct a meeting between the cach/manager, player and the Cmpetitin cmmittee will be arranged t agree n a suitable suspensin perid. Any player that is seen t be a repeat ffender will nt be tlerated and after the 2nd ffence will be remved frm the cmpetitin. NOTE: Any player r team seen t be invlved r cause fights will see the player r teams invlved remved frm the cmpetitin and will n lnger participate nr be welcmed back fr future cmpetitins. This is the nly warning regarding the matter and it will nt be tlerated frm anyne. Yu will NOT receive any refunds fr the matter. If a match is abandned by the referee due t the abve miscnduct neither team will receive any pints regardless f the scre line. OffSide Rule N OFFSIDES after the kick ff has been taken. Substitutin Substitutins may be made at any time during the game, and as ften as required. Substitutes d nt have t wait fr a stppage in play, r ntify the referee f the change, except in the case f the galkeeper, wh must ntify the referee and wait fr a stppage in play befre making the change. Breach f this rule will result in a direct free kick being awarded against the ffending side. Substitutes may nly enter the field f play at the halfway line, and nly when the player being substituted has left the field f play. Breach f this rule will result in a direct free kick being awarded against the ffending side, at the pint the ball was at the time f the ffence. Slide Tackles Slide tackles are nt permitted at any time during the match. Any player that des slide tackle will be cautined and a direct free kick will be awarded t the ppsing team. If the same player prceeds t re ffend then will be issued the secnd cautin fllwed by the red card. Slide tackles are interpreted different by everyne, but the referee will make the final discissin n what he feels deemed t be a slide tackle Pints System Teams will be awarded 3 pints fr a WIN. Teams will be awarded 2 pints fr a Scre Draw. Teams will be awarded 1 pint fr a Screless Draw. Teams will nt be issued with any pints fr a Lss. Fr teams that scre 5 clear gals mre than the ppsing team will be issued with a BONUS pint. Gal Keepers When a gal keeper cmes int pssessin f the ball (as per FIFA Rules) in his/her hands, he/she may nly release the ball int play by thrwing it, they can thrw the ball ver halfway and he/she cannt tuch the ball a secnd time withut the ball having first been played by either ne f his/her players r an ppsing player. A gal keeper cannt punt r drp kick the ball frm the penalty area nce he has held the ball. Nrmal rules with regards t back pass t gal keepers (FIFA Ruling) will apply.

5 Gal Kicks Gal kicks can be taken anywhere inside the D The keeper can kick the ball ver halfway Wet Weather If wet weather causes the cancellatin f games they will be rescheduled and a catchup rund will ccur and the games will be played at 20 minutes per game Tw games will be played in the ne night. This is unfrtunate but it s the risk we have when playing utdr sprts. Finals Ftball T be advised based n final number f teams cmpeting. Final series ftball All games must have a result. A result will be determined by the fllwing rulings: 1. If scre draw, the first gal screr will be the winner. 2. If screless draw the first crner will determine the winner. 3. If still drawn, 6 minutes extra time (3 minutes each way) t be played, after which gals (glden gal), then first crner, then cin tss will determine the winner. Grand Final Which will be played ver 15 minute halves with a 3 minute half time break. N crners are cunted. In the event f a draw, teams will change ends and cntinue t play extra time f 10 minutes (5 minute halves). The first team t scre will be the winner (Glden gal). If after extra the extra time, n team has scred, Drp Off will take place. Every tw minutes a player frm each team will leave the field t a minimum f three players, until a result ccurs. The player t leave the field will be nminated by the captain, r manager, f that team. Once drp ff begins there are n further substitutins allwed.
