HANDBALL GOALKEEPER COACHING VANJA RADIC
HANDBALL GOALKEEPER COACHING VANJA RADIC - GOALKEEPER CAMPS IN FINLAND GOALKEEPER DEVELOPMENT LEVELS PROGRESSION
GOALKEEPER COACHING IN YOUTH TEAMS It s very important to understand that a goalkeeper is an individual athlete within a team sport! This makes even more significant the fact that goalkeepers need different approach and way of training than the rest of the team!
GOALKEEPER COACHING IN YOUTH TEAMS FACTS: In most cases doesn t exist. Goalkeepers are getting the smallest attention during the practices in their teams. There are not so many teams who have a qualified goalkeeper coach. The goalkeeper deserves, just like every other player, proper feedback and developing environment in order to improve. Many teams and coaches are having so big expectations from their goalkeepers, but at the same time they are not able to provide proper coaching and steps of progression in goalkeeper development.
GOALKEEPER DEVELOPMENT All these facts led us to conclude that it is absolutely necessary to create an environment in which young goalkeepers will have the opportunity to learn at least the most basic and most important elements of the goalkeeper game.
GOALKEEPER DEVELOPMENT In January 2017 we have started an initiative and we organized series of goalkeeper camps in Finland, following proper steps of progression.
GOALKEEPER DEVELOPMENT The main idea was to offer an environment in which all the goalkeepers can learn, understand, develop and improve.
GOALKEEPER CAMPS IN FINLAND In 2017 we have organized 3 goalkeeper camps in sport s centre Kisakallio, Finland: LEVEL 1 January 2017 LEVEL 2 April 2017 LEVEL 3 October 2017
GOALKEEPER CAMPS IN FINLAND LEVEL 1 January 2017 We had in total 32 goalkeepers born between from Finland, Sweden and Norway! This project was supported by NMC Termonova Oy, Evoke Natural Goods, Finnish Handball Federation and Kisakallio Sports Center.
GOALKEEPER CAMPS IN FINLAND LEVEL 2 April 2017 We had in total 30 goalkeepers born between from Finland, Sweden, Germany and Norway! This project was supported by NMC Termonova Oy, Finnish Handball Federation and Kisakallio Sports Center.
GOALKEEPER CAMPS IN FINLAND LEVEL 3 October 2017 We had in total 28 goalkeepers born between from Finland, Sweden and Norway! This project was supported by NMC Termonova Oy, Finnish Handball Federation and Kisakallio Sports Center.
GOALKEEPER CAMPS IN FINLAND Our goalkeeper camps in Kisakallio, Finland are extremely unique and designed in different levels / steps of progression which are closely linked and they are continuing one after the other. The main idea is to offer well structured training and education place for young goalkeepers who are willing to learn, work hard and have fun while doing it! Every goalkeeper who will go through these 8 levels in about 2 years period will have great basis on which it will be much easier to upgrade and develop further in their own teams.
GOALKEEPER CAMPS IN FINLAND Not so many other countries have this kind of well developed goalkeeper training system as we offer here! Our camps are uniquely designed, created, developed, licensed and run by a professional goalkeeper coach with extensive coaching experience - Vanja Radic. All of our camps have a clear structure and tremendous attention is paid to the details in work with young goalkeepers.
GOALKEEPER CAMPS IN FINLAND The emphasis in all our camps will be on: learning proper goalkeeper technique learning to identify the mistakes in goalkeeper technique correcting the mistakes in wrong learned technique getting theoretical understanding of all topics on which we will work understanding the importance of certain physical aspects of goalkeeper game feeling that finally goalkeepers are given a chance to learn and develop motivation and inspiration for further development working hard having fun
STRATEGY FOR FUTURE GOALKEEPER CAMPS IN FINLAND IN 2018 In 2018 we will have 4 goalkeeper camps in Kisakallio, Finland. All 4 camps in 2018 will be made for two age groups of goalkeepers with limited number of participants: Group 1 will be born goalkeepers Group 2 will be born goalkeepers
