Support Race to Formula 1 French Grand Prix Paul Ricard, 21 24 June 2018 CIRCUIT ADDRESS: FINAL EVENT INFORMATION TICKETS and CREDENTIALS: Credentials are required to enter the Circuit commencing Thursday, 21 st June. Each entry includes credentials for the Driver and 7 crew/guests. Please note: team members and guests must be aged 16 or older in order to receive a credential with Pit Lane access. 1 additional guest pass (no picture req d) will be handed out per car. This pass allows access to the Support Paddock area only. TICKET COLLECTION: Collection of your credentials will take place at the following times: Wednesday, 20th June - 14h00 to 19h00 (in the Support Paddock/Chamberlain Synergy Motorsport) Thursday, 21 st June - 07h30 to 10h00 (location TBC) All Drivers and Team Personnel must sign when collecting their credentials. Please bring your ID to Registration - you must show photo ID in order to obtain your credentials. NO PHOTO ID - NO PASS.
ACCESS TO THE SUPPORT PADDOCK: The MEL Support Paddock is called the ZONE ROUGE (see attached venue map). The Load-in for MEL trucks into the Support Paddock will ONLY BE between 11h00 and 13h00 on Wednesday 20 th June. Trucks must be in place during this time - NO EXCEPTIONS ALLOWED. Your awnings must be fully set up by Wednesday night. PRIVATE CAR PARKING Each team will receive 2 parking passes for private cars next to the Support Paddock. The parking passes will be handed out at Ticket Collection. PADDOCK PLAN: The MEL Support Paddock will be open to the public. Please ensure that your cars are presentable at all times and equipment is safely stored. If you have any display boards about your car, please feel free to show them throughout the weekend. Below is the final parking plan for the MEL Support Paddock which has been approved by Formula 1 this must be adhered to NO EXCEPTIONS ALLOWED. Anja will be onsite from Wednesday lunchtime to manage this.
On the instruction of Formula 1, no spare parts or material may be stored outside of any awnings Please keep the MEL paddock clean and tidy throughout the competition weekend. No holes may be drilled, and no other damage may be caused to any tarmac / paved surfaces. Tent and awnings must be held down by weights as no pegs of any kind are allowed. You can hire individual awning weights of 45 kilos at a cost of 20. Should you require any information throughout the weekend one of the Masters Team will be available in this area to help you.
MASTERS TEAM: MEL Race Director: MEL Eligibility Delegate: MEL Sporting Director: Event & Series Manager: Team Support: Luke Souch John Gentry Nic Minassian Anja Kempermann John Cavill TRACK ORIENTATION: There will be an on-track orientation for drivers and team representatives all day Wednesday and on Thursday before 11h45 and after 15h00. You can only walk around the circuit during these periods (no bicycles, scooters, quads, etc are allowed). SIGN-ON & DRIVERS BRIEFING: Signing on and the Drivers Briefing will take place in the Chamberlain Synergy Motorsport awning at the following times: Signing On: Thursday 21 June: 10h00 12h00. Drivers must present their race licence at sign-on Drivers Briefing: Thursday 21 June at 17h00. Briefing notes will be distributed. Attendance at the Drivers Briefing is mandatory for all Drivers: please sign the presence sheet on arrival. It is strongly recommended that the team manager/representative also attend. SAFETY & ELIGIBILITY SCRUTINEERING: Safety scrutineering will be done in situ by FFSA officials on Thursday 21 June between 09h30 and 12h30. Race car and driver equipment must be made available at this time. TOBACCO & ALCOHOL LIVERY: NB: French Law does not permit any form of tobacco and/or alcohol advertising whatsoever and breaches of this civil law will result in enforcement by agencies of the State. You must remove/cover/alter all such advertising on both cars and team wear. It is the sole responsibility of the Competitor to ensure that the team complies with this legislation. Masters Historic Racing will not be conflicted with our hosts because of any non-compliance. CIRCUIT MAP: The event will run on the full GP circuit, including the chicane Nord on the Mistral Straight - length is 5.842km. ENTRY LIST The provisional entry list for the Masters Historic Racing Support Race is attached for you. You must run with the race number that you have been allocated no exceptions please.
FUEL: The local agent for Sodifuel (French Supplier of Sunoco) will deliver your fuel from Thursday lunch time, adjacent to the Support Paddock (see paddock map above). SUPPORT VEHICLES: You will be allowed a maximum of 2 support vehicles per car (only scooters/quads or trollies) to transport equipment to the pit lane. You will receive a sticker to allow access for Support Vehicles into the Pitlane. You may only take a maximum of 4 personnel to the pit lane per car entered. Support Vehicles may not be used to move in and out of the venue. ONBOARD CAMERAS: NB: onboard cameras are NOT ALLOWED on any race car at any point during the Competition on any race car. Please ensure you remove any evidence of on board cameras and/or recording equipment before your first session on track. RADIO COMMUNICATIONS: NB: pit to car and car to pit radio communications are NOT ALLOWED at this competition. SECURITY: 24-hour security will be provided in the Support Paddock from Wednesday 20 June to midnight on Sunday 24 June. TYRE SERVICE: Dunlop /Goodyear and Michelin Tyres will be attending the race meeting, adjacent to the Support Paddock (see map above). You must return any borrowed transponders to them before leaving the circuit on Sunday. MOTORHOMES: The Official Campsite of the Circuit is situated a 10min walk from the track. Campers will have access to the circuit through the Sainte Baume gate. It must be pre-booked with gpfrancecamping@oreca.fr The campsite is open from 09h00 on Thursday 21 st June until noon on Monday 25 th June. Cost is 200 euros for 4 nights for 4 persons and 1 vehicle. PADDOCK BREAKDOWN: NB: MEL teams may only start breakdown of their awning and start loading 1 hour before the F1 race starts, once the F1 race has started at 16:10 on Sunday 24 th June leaving the circuit is allowed.
