A True Growing Up on the Island Experience 2016 KBYC Summer Sailing Program & Kayaking and Marine Science Camp KBYC Kayak Explorers and Marine Science (Ages 6-15) 9 AM to 12:30 PM The KBYC Kayak Explorers navigate to the mangroves and sandbars around Biscayne Bay. Kayakers learn about the environment and the sea life of Biscayne Bay through hands-on activities. Lunch is included. Registration Fee: Member 2-weeks: $450 Non-Member 2-weeks: $550 Member 1-week: $300 Non-Member 1-week: $400 London Foggies (ages 6 7) Afternoon 1 PM to 4 PM Your youngest salts learn the basics of sailing through fun and play. Young sailors love for sailing is developed in a controlled and safe environment. Kids will sail as a group in the Flying Scot and Cape Dorey. Registration Fee: Member 2-weeks: $425 Non-Member 2-weeks: $525 Member 1-week: $275 Non-Member 1-week: $375

2016 KBYC Summer Sailing, Kayaking and Marine Science Camp Combination FULL Day Program (ages 6-7) 9 AM to 4 PM Marine Science and Kayak Explorers 9 AM- 1 PM & London Foggies 1 PM 4 PM This program provides a variety for the young salts. The kids get to navigate to the mangroves and sandbars while learning about the environment and the sea life of Biscayne Bay. In the afternoon, the young salts learn the basics of sailing through fun and play. Kids will learn how to sail in a group on the Cape Dorey and Flying Scot. Lunch is included in this program. Registration Fee: Member 2-weeks: $625 Non-Member 2-weeks: $725 Member 1-week: $375 Non-Member 1-week: $475 2016 KBYC Summer Sailing Program Beginner Opti Sailing (ages 8-12) Full Day 9 AM to 4 PM Youths with little or no previous sailing experience take to this program like a duck to water. The youth gains confidence in learning to sail an Optimist single-handed. At the end of the course, the parents enjoy watching their child sail the Opti by themselves around an Olympic triangle. Lunch is included. Registration Fee: Member 2-weeks: $650 Non-Member 2-weeks: $750 3

Intermediate Optimist Sailing (ages 8-12) Full Day 9 AM to 4 PM Sailors who have completed Beginner Opti Sailing or equivalent enjoy successfully completing intermediate and advanced instruction in boat handling. Sailors receive introduction to basic sailboat racing, including rules and tactics in Optimist dinghy. Lunch is included. Registration Fee: Member 2-weeks: $650 Non-Member 2-weeks: $750 TEENS ONLY (ages 13 18) Full Day 9 AM to 4 PM Teens who wish to learn beginning and intermediate level instruction in Lasers, Club 420s, and the Flying Scot and enjoy an abundance of interaction with others and having fun on the water. Lunch is included. Registration Fee: Member 2-weeks: $650 Non-Member 2-weeks: $750 Session 5 ONLY: August 8-12 4

Introduction to Sailing (ages 7-11) Full Day 9 AM to 4 PM (Sess. 5 Only- Aug. 8-12) Your youngest salts learn the basics of sailing through fun and play. Young sailors love for sailing is developed in a controlled and safe environment. Kids will sail as a group in the Flying Scot, Club 420, and the Cape Dorey. Sailing Demonstration for all Parents, Grandparents, Siblings, Friends and Relatives invited on the afternoon of the last Friday of each session a. Come out to the fuel dock to see your children sail an Olympic triangle course. Dependent on weather. If weather is bad, we unfortunately will not make up parents day. 3. 2016 KBYC Summer Optimist Race Program Optimist RWB & Green Fleet Race Program (ages 8-15) Full Day 9 AM to 4 PM Experienced sailors who want to develop their overall advanced racing skills will learn advanced boat handling, racing tactics and strategy, and boat speed. The focus of this program is to prepare youth sailors for the USODA National Championships. The coach will video sessions. Physical training is a component of this program. Program is designed for 2 week sessions, 1 week, or day sailors. Lunch is included. In the event of cancellation prior to the start of a session, registration fees will be refunded with a $50 administrative fee. There will be no refunds after the start of the session.
