The craft fair is Friday, at the Parks and Recreation building, on 5th street, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. All proceeds from the event go to the Giving Tree that will be up in the amphitheater, after Thanksgiving break. So, start your Christmas shopping early and head over to the Craft Faire, on Friday, at the Parks and Recreation Building, on 5th street. [NEWS_YEARBOOK AWARD] Last year's yearbook was just named as a Crown Finalist by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. This national yearbook award is given to less than 5 percent of all yearbooks in the country. In March, students will travel to New York City to accept the award. [NEWS_SENIOR TRIBUTE] And... seniors, it's time to turn in your senior tribute for the yearbook. Space is filling up fast, and the price goes up again on Thursday. The senior tribute is a special section for the graduating class. Order forms for are available on the WHS website or in Room C-2. To reserve your spot, you need to turn in the form, payment, photos and tribute message. [NEWS_YEARBOOK ORDER] This is also a good time to order your 2019 yearbook. The yearbook is available for preorder online at jostensyearbooks.com or with an order form in Room C-2. All students who order yearbooks before Thanksgiving are eligible for prizes and a special raffle. [NEWS_HOMEWORK] And... if you are struggling in a class, or need some extra help, visit the homework club.... Students can go to the library, after school to get help with assignments. The club meets after school, in the library, Tuesday through Friday, from 3:30 to 4:30. Teachers and student tutors are available to
provide you with extra help. There are also several Chromebooks and study materials for use, as well as a quiet place to study. [NEWS_CRIMINAL JUSTICE] The criminal justice club is meeting today, at lunch, in room E-11. At the meeting, club members are looking at some historical cases and solving a murder-mystery riddle. UP FIRST, Senior Noelle Don SHARED THIS ON... INSTAGRAM WITH THE HASHTAG WHSUNLEASHED. In this picture, Noelle is at Bishop's Pumpkin Farm with a first grader in her Stars Class. Noelle says while she was there they got to pick out their perfect pumpkin and pet the animals in the petting zoo. She said she was glad she got to tag along with the class on the field trip because it was a great way to kick off the spooky season. The Red Sox's defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in game 5 and after the last out, the players and fans sang many songs including "All I do is win" and to rub it in the faces of Yankee fans, they also sang "New York, New York".
