Front Line Techniques Man Inside or Head up: Step with inside foot and work to cross the face of the man (using a rip technique on inside number). If I can t cross face, push man into shield Man Outside: Step with outside foot and attack man s inside number. Keeping feet active use a shock and shed technique to stalemate the rush and work into coverage.

Shield Techniques Upbacks: After snap, take a 12 inch lateral step to the kick side. With low pad level and keeping feet active (but not moving lateral) use hands and body to block your man PP: Step up between Upbacks and use same technique keeping body square
