In the interests of health and safety, everyone must take all reasonable precaution to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and stewards including conduct in working in areas. 7. Flash photography is strictly forbidden. Mobile phones must be turned off during tests. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on site. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
QUALIFIERS North Devon Show Jumping Qualifier The 2017 show will be held on Wednesday 2 nd August at Umberleigh Barton Farm, Umberleigh EX37 9DX which in on the A377 road. TARKA Open to ponies 14.2hh and under and riders to be 16 years and under on the day of the show. Jumps in the first round should not exceed 85 cms. TAW & TORRIDGE Open to horses over 14.2hh and riders any age. Jumps in the first round should not exceed 90 cms. The competitions will run as a two round competition (first round followed by a jump off). Competitors placed 1 st to 6 th in the classes will qualify. (Competitor must have jumped two rounds in each class). Riders may not enter both the Tarka and the Taw & Torridge. The classes are open to residents from within the Agricultural Society s local area which included all the PARISHES in North Devon and Torridge District Councils areas. Cricklands Qualifier The David Broome Event Centre, Crick, Caldicot, Monmouthshire NP26 5XP. You need to jump a double clear round in the same class, in classes 1 7. Complete the entry form and get it signed by the Show Secretary on the qualification card. (This must be submitted to Cricklands within one month of our event).
RULES & REGULATIONS 1. The Judge s decision is final. Any objection may be handed to the Secretary, in writing, together with 10.00 within 20 minutes of the class being judged. Money will be refunded if the objection is upheld. 2. The Committee will not be held responsible for any damage whatsoever to animals, persons or property. All persons attending the show do so at their own risk. 3. No phone entries will be accepted. The Committee reserves the right to decline any entry. 4. The Committee reserves the right to alter or modify the schedule or withhold any prize for child unable to prove his/her age if asked. All riders must be 3 years and older. 5. All dogs must be kept on a lead. 6. No galloping outside the ring. 7. No horse/pony should be loaded into or tied to a trailer which is not hitched up to a towing vehicle. Anyone found doing so will be asked to leave the showground. 8. Correct British standard head gear, conforming to current standards and appropriate dress to be worn at all times when mounted. 9. Numbers must be worn in the rings. 10. Whips/spurs are not to be used in the gymkhana. Any excessive use while on the showground will result in disqualification. 11. Ridden horses must be 4 years old and over. 12. No entry fees will be refunded, but competitors will be allowed to swap classes if feasible. 13. No unauthorized persons allowed in the rings, except grooms in show classes. 14. Engraving will not be undertaken by the Committee. Cup/trophies awarded should be collected from the Secretary s Tent and signed for. 15. In Leading Rein gymkhana or jumping classes, the winner will be the rider and not the leader first across the line. 16. All entries must be declared to the ring stewards before the start of class. Please inform the ring steward if you wish to be withdrawn from a class or if you may be required in more than one ring at the same time. 17. Persons leading a competitor must be 16 years or over. 18. The committee reserves the right to exclude any person s horses due to inappropriate behaviour.
