ICG Annual Meeting 2018 Local Organizing Committee Chair Tetsuji Yano October, 2017 Invitation to Sponsors and Exhibitors The Ceramic Society of Japan and the Glass Industry Conference of Japan are pleased to announce that we will be holding the Annual Meeting of the International Commission on Glass (ICG 2018) for four days from September 23 to 26, 2018 at PACIFICO Yokohama, Yokohama, Japan. During the Meeting, a space will be allocated for exhibition booths and posters. In this regard, we are inviting sponsors and exhibitors to the ICG 2018 as detailed below. This Meeting is attended by more than 300 researchers and engineers working on glass and related technologies from industrial, academic, and government institutions around the world, and will serve as a venue for participants to present their latest results and exchange their expert opinions. 1. Conference Bag Sponsor The conference bag to be distributed to all symposium participants during the Meeting will be printed with the logo of the Platinum Sponsors. Other sponsors may also have their company logos printed on the back of the bag. Conference bag sponsorship includes the following advertisement inserts for no additional fee. (Maximum of six (6) sponsors) Fee: 250,000 JPY (tax included) The color of the conference bag is navy blue. Your company logo will be printed in black and white. Program Book Sponsor You can introduce and advertise your company s latest devices, products, or materials related to glass in the program book. The program book will be distributed to all participants during the conference.
Format: Advertising copy shall be in black-and-white and in English only. Your advertisement will be included either as a full-page (A4 size) or half-page advertisement in pages other than cover of the program book. Novelty Goods Sponsor Novelty goods bearing your company name or logo will be included in the conference bag. Please prepare around 400 pieces of the novelty item (ballpoint pens, note pads, etc.). Please consult with the ICG Office for details. 6. Exhibitor You can set up an exhibit booth or a poster during the conference to promote your products and services to the participants. Reminders to Exhibit applicants: - One company can apply for a limit of two (2) exhibit stands. If you wish to use three (3) or more stands, please contact the ICG Office. - We will send the Exhibit fee bill after the application is received. - Location of the exhibit booths will be decided by the ICG 2018 Organizing Committee. - We may request exhibitors to make adjustments in case the number of applicants exceed the planned number. Cancellation of exhibit application: Cancellation as a rule will not be allowed. If, for any unavoidable reason, you have to cancel your application or change the number of exhibit stands applied for, please inform us in writing. The following cancellation fees shall apply: Until May 31 (Thu), 2018 June 1 (Fri) to August 31 (Fri), 2018 September 1 (Sat), 2018 or later No charge 50% of exhibit fee 100% of exhibit fee Suspension or shortening of exhibit schedule: In case the venue of the exhibition becomes inaccessible or the holding of the exhibition is impeded by earthquakes, typhoons, fire and other calamities, infectious disease epidemics, acts of terrorism, instruction or orders from third parties, or other force majeure events, the Conference Chair may decide to change the time and date of the conference or cancel the holding of the exhibition. In such case, ICG 2018 shall not be held liable for any damage, additional costs, or other losses to the exhibitor arising from such change or cancellation. In case the exhibition dates and times are shortened due to force majeure events that arise during the conference, the exhibit fees shall not be refunded. In case the exhibition is cancelled entirely prior to the holding of the conference due to force majeure, exhibit fees shall be returned to the exhibitors after deducting the necessary reimbursements.
