A Letter From Our General Manager As we plan for a new year ahead, there are some changes around the club that I want to inform you about. As a reminder, if you haven t already changed your payment plan with the office from a credit card to ACH or simply sending in a check, please do so today. As an additional reminder, all accounts are due in full when you receive your statement. A 1.5% interest charge is automatically charged on all past due amounts not paid in full on the last day of the month your statement was issued. Jessica Anderson has been promoted to the Food & Beverage Manager position. She has been with us for 4 years now and has worn several hats during that time frame such as Assistant F&B Manager and Office Manager. Jessica has proven to be a great asset to us and has performed admirably in her most recent position this past year as the Office Manager. She is ready for the challenge ahead leading the F&B team. Please help me congratulate her in this new role. She will eagerly assist you with any a la carte or banquet needs you may have; just give her a call. Christina Hodges, our previous Office Manager, will be returning effective January 8 th. As most of you may recall, her and husband, Justin, were expecting a baby and due to her high risk pregnancy, she left us in December of 2016 to be closer to her family since her husband was deployed to Korea. Taylor Faye, their daughter, was born in early summer and all are doing well. Justin has returned from his deployment and Christina was available when I decided to make the change in moving Jessica. Christina is excited to get back to work after her extended time off, so please also help me welcome her back on the team. Stop in to see her, I m sure she d love to share some baby pics with you! Drew Kershner is heading to Florida for a week in early January to continue his educational pursuit of his PGA status. Good luck Drew, we know you ll do great in class and return with some new refreshing ideas! Scott and Drew have been working on the golf calendar and youth golf programming for 2018. We ll be releasing those schedules and information shortly. Mark and his team continue to rebuild the equipment and do routine maintenance on everything as we prepare for the upcoming season. Last year was drier than we liked and we exceeded our water budget. Hopefully, this year s weather will provide the exact amount of water we need, and only rain from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am every time it rains. Wouldn t that be great? Chef has developed new lunch and dinner menus that we will roll out when we reopen on January 19. I think you will be very pleased with several of the new additions he has created for your dining pleasure. With Jessica leading the service team and Chef at the helm in the kitchen, we re poised for a great year ahead in F&B. Please give us your feedback as we move forward. Looking for to the new year, Dave Kelley General Manager dave@themanhattancountryclub.com

A Letter From Our Membership Director I m back! I cannot begin to express the joy and gratitude I feel to be back at Manhattan Country Club. I have missed this place and am excited to start off the new year surrounded by our amazing members. As many of you know, in October of 2016 my husband and I found out we were expecting our first child just 2 weeks into his 9 month deployment. A few weeks later we learned my pregnancy was high risk. Through several conversations and many prayers, my husband and I agreed it made sense for me to move back to Texas with my family. I am grateful for the love and understanding we received from everyone regarding our decision. On June 22nd we welcomed our beautiful baby girl, a few weeks early, but overall perfectly healthy. Like before, I want to welcome anyone who wants to come sit and talk with me. Whether it s questions about your bill, potential members that need a little push to join, or if anyone just wants to see baby pictures! Jessica and I have been talking and we are excited about some of the events we planned for you! We plan on making 2018 the best year for Manhattan Country Club. I am excited to see everyone at our Welcome Home Party on Friday, January 19. Dave Lewis is hosting a trivia game from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm and then he will be showing off his DJ skills from 8:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Here s to the New Year! Cheers, Christina Hodges Membership Director & Office Manager christina@themanhattancountryclub.com

A Letter From Our Food and Beverage Department The new year has come and with it some changes. I am pleased to announce that Christina Hodges, who I replaced last January in the Office, has returned to the club. It was unfortunate that she had to leave due to a high risk pregnancy, but we are always happy to rehire great employees who make this Club a better place! With an opening in our Food and Beverage department, I returned to my roots here at Manhattan Country Club. During my first three years here I worked as a server, bartender, Cabana staff member, beverage cart driver, and was previously the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. I am thankful that after all of my experience in the office during my fourth year that I am finally able to go back to doing what I love, which is providing an exceptional dining experience for our restaurant, our banquets, and all other events we host here at the Club. Unfortunately, the restaurant will be closed thru the 18th while we deep clean and get it ready for the new year. When we open our doors for regular service hours on the 19th we will be hosting our Welcome Home celebration! Join us for Friday Afternoon Cocktails at 4:00 pm, dinner at 6:00 pm, and Dave Lewis at 7:00 pm. Let us make your first day back at the Club a great one! We ll also be opening up with a new menu! Chef has prepared a wonderful selection to kick off the new year. We have some amazing new appetizers that will be featured, as well as new sandwiches, dinner entrees, and salads. Join us on our first day back and try something new. Maybe you ll find a new favorite! It s been a couple months, but on Friday, January 26th we ll be hosting Kidz Klub! Bring out your friends and family and enjoy a relaxing evening here at your Club while we entertain the kids from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. With movies, games, and arts and crafts, we are here to start off the new year with a good time for our members with children! Jessica Anderson, Food and Beverage Manager jessica@themanhattancountryclub.com John Kellogg, Executive Chef chef@themanhattancountryclub.com

I assume everyone made it on the Nice List last year! Well, sad to say it, but I think Winter has finally arrived, and I think it held off as long as it could! Now if only we could get a little bit of moisture to help Mark out A reminder that the golf shop and golf course will be OPEN while we do the annual cleaning around the clubhouse. So stop by and say hi or come play golf, if the weather permits! To everyone traveling in the near future or leaving us for a couple of months, please travel well and have fun! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to e-mail or call us. See you all soon! Scott Wempe Head Golf Professional scott@themanhattancountryclub.com

A Letter From Our Grounds Superintendent The new year is here and we are looking forward to a new season at Manhattan Country Club! On the course the staff has been busy cutting down the pines that have died this past year and spraying for broadleaf weeds. We have also been keeping the course playable during the few nice days we have had for golf. I hope that during the nice weather you will be able to get out and play! Dan, our mechanic, has also been busy working on our equipment and getting it ready for the upcoming season. We hope everyone had a great time over the holidays and hope to see you on the course soon! As always for this time of year, your patience waiting for frost is greatly appreciated.
