How You Can Help Come to our bat house workshop! Watch a video about bats made by the Batman vs Superman team, learn about White-Nose Syndrome, what to do if you have bats in your home, and how bat houses work to help local bat populations. We are currently taking applications for the position of Chainsaw Course Foreman. The course will consist of a theory portion and in-field practical. Training is anticipated to start August 31 to December 4, 2015 for duration of 14 weeks. Foreman - $ 701/week Application Deadline: August 18, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Band Office Note: No other applications will be accepted after this date. Topics that will be covered in the course include mechanics of chainsaw, sharpening, tools, discussing work plans, notches, precision felling, de-limbing, bucking and placement of logs. Trainees will be assessed each week, by quality and quantity. Applicants for the Foreman position must possess the following qualifications: 1) Valid Quebec Driver s full licence with at least 3 years of driving experience. 2) Valid CSST Tree Feller Certificate. 3) Valid CSST First Aid Certificate. 4) Minimum 3 years chainsaw experience. 5) Minimum 3 years foreman/trainer experience. Applicants for the Foreman position must possess the following qualities: 1) Applicants must have strong verbal and written communication skills. 2) Applicants must good attendance record. 3) Applicant must be able to document and record all relevant information. 4) Must have working knowledge of all safety requirements when working in dangerous forest environments. 5) Knowledge of Rexforet training program and its rules and regulations.
