With an average registration growth rate of 140% year over year, we anticipate nearly 2,000 runners this year! Runner Demographics 2011 (600 runners) What type of person runs your race? Of runners, 54% were male. The mean male runner was 30 34, the mean female participants was 35 39 years old. Age Range How serious are your runners? An overwhelming majority of 2011 participants are experienced athletes who run in over 5 races per year. In how many endurance events do you participate in a year? How Do Runners Find You? #1 Word of Mouth! #2 Repeat Runners #3 Flyers How Did you Hear About The Veterans Day Race?

Are You Going To Grow? 95% of 2011 participants plan on participating again next year! How Likely Are You To Participate Again Next Year? (5 Very Likely, 1 Not Very Likely) Family Connection to Veterans? 54% of runners reported that they had Veterans in their family. Of those, 32% were Iraq/Afghanistan War Veterans, 25% were Korean War Veterans and 12% were Vietnam War Veterans. Are you a Veteran or do you have a Veteran in your immediate family?

Beneficiary: Team Red, White and Blue (www.teamrwb.org) is a 501c3 Wounded Veteran charity. Team RWB aims to assist Wounded Veterans in their transition from military life to civilian life by funding one on one relationships between Wounded Veterans and an Advocate. Our marketing arm belongs to our athletes much like LIVESTRONG, our runners and athletes spread awareness of our group and our mission, ultimately to reach out and help more Wounded Veterans. Either as a runner, a veteran or an advocate, you join a diverse group of people focused on maintaining long lasting, meaningful relationships. We do not view success in terms of dollars raised, but by relationships maintained. Where specifically do your funds go? While the government provides our nation s Veterans with monetary and medical support, Team RWB assists these Veterans and their families by doing something the government cannot and SHOULD not do; providing emotional, individual and community support. By funding one on one relationships between Veterans and their Advocate we leverage the American population to step in where it really makes a difference in people s lives. Whether it s tickets to a baseball game, a nice dinner or a cup of coffee that is where your funds are applied. But the money is secondary the relationship and friendship is what s most important! Governments don t solve problems, PEOPLE solve problems. Team RWB Houston is one of the most active chapters in the US, with over 100 wounded veterans, advocates and athletes. Let s keep it that way!
