If you haven t already seen it, we ve posted some comments from Leanne Wall, the BD List 1 judge who judged the Championship classes and was so impressed with the quality of riding. You should start to receive prizes and rosettes from The Pony Club this week and we d love to take this opportunity to invite you to send us your pictures to share with our members on our website and social media pages. We ll keep you posted on the format and qualifiers for the next Championships, but in the meantime we ve included a separate Pony Club class in our November and December schedules. Pony Club Rally's Every Saturday morning we have rallies for all our members. Groups are divided depending on experience. We work through our badges and assessments, improving our mounted and unmounted skills. There are also lots of opportunities to get involved in competitions. Saturday times; Connemaras & Dales - 9-11am Shires & Exmoors - 10-12am Mini Pony Club 2-3.30pm Young Equestrians with Nai - 6-7.30pm on Tuesdays - 13 years plus. If you are unsure which group is most suitable please speak to Lyns in the Office or Nikki our Pony Club Coordinator. We have workbooks that will help members progress through the assessment tests. To receive your workbook just email nikki.secker@yahoo.co.uk Congratulations to the Pony Club Tetrathlon junior team who participated in the Triathlon on 8 th November, in spite of the weather, they worked very hard and came away with a few rosettes too! Well done Ale, Izzy & Holly Pony Club Competition Club - Starting Saturday 21st November - 2-4pm - This is a new group for Pony club members with their own horses / ponies. It is suitable for our members who are currently out competing or looking to start competing. Initially sessions will be monthly. We will be covering riding and theory, and looking ahead to the competitions that are coming up. This will include planning for teams and assisting with advice on preparation and which classes etc. Any questions please see Nikki or Nai.
Mini Pony club Throughout September-November the Mini Pony Club members have been working on a few badges and assessment areas: The new subjects have proved popular with the team, who have been working on the following badges: Plaiting: Explain why you might plait horses manes or tails. Know how to make sure you are safe when plaiting. Show how to plait using baling twine and a plaiting band. On a drawing of an outline of a horse, draw on plaits and colour in the picture Colours and Markings: Be able to identify basic colours - black, bay, grey, skewbald, piebald, chestnut. Be able to identify facial markings - star, stripe, blaze, and snip. Be able to identify leg markings - sock and stocking. In pairs, on a drawing of an outline of a horse, colour in the horse with the colour and markings specified by your instructor. Assessment prep - E Test Mount by receiving a leg up. Dismount. Sit in a safe and reasonably secure position in the saddle. Hold the reins correctly. Ride from halt to walk and from walk to halt in a straight line. Either on or off the leading rein. At the beginning of November, two of our Mini Pony Club members received their certificate following completion of their E Tests Well done girls Footfalls: Learn the amount of beats for each pace. In a group of four (one person per foot), shake a bottle of pebbles when that foot should touch the floor for each pace. Road Rider: Have knowledge of: Basic signals (left, right & thank you). Tumpy Green BHS Riding Club REGULAR RIDING CLUB LESSONS Tuesday s 6pm Flatwork / Jumping Saturday 12pm Flatwork Saturday 1pm Jumping Max 6 per session Pricing Structure Off Peak Rate: Mid-Week Tuesday to Friday inclusive 15 own horse / 24 School horse Peak Rate: Saturday 20 own horse / 24 School horse Please note for Riding Club lessons on own horse, owners will need to catch in and get the horse ready. This can be booked in via the office, however there will be an additional charge to cover staff costs. This is the only way we can maintain the significant reductions for own horse on Riding Club lessons, something we are very keen to do.

HOOF Private: 8 session of 1 hour 255 HOOF Group: 7 sessions of 1 hour, plus a one to one assessment 150 HOOF courses are ideal for all those adults wanting to take up riding, return to the saddle after a break, or just build confidence. What you will get; A one to one assessment session: Seven stage series of riding lessons, group or private: Detailed feedback and progression planning every step of the way. This was a social event for all of our friends, old and new, to celebrate Halloween and enjoy each other s company with a live band, close up magician and hog roast to keep us busy throughout the evening. Thank you all who attended and supported this event, we raised over 700 towards the Arena improvements. Thank you Friends of Tumpy Green Halloween Fun Show, inc. Cricklands Show Jumping & Dressage Qualification classes - Sunday 1st Nov Keeping to the Halloween theme, we presented a Fun Show on Sunday 1 st November at Tumpy Green Equestrian Centre. The show was very well attended and we had some beautiful rosettes for our winners. A special thanks to Beth Wadley for taking Approximately 400 photographs at this event! The friends received lots of very positive feedback from visitors and clients and we had a fantastic day. There were some amazing fancy dress costumes too, well done and thank you to all involved. The next fun show will be our Fun Christmas show on Sunday 6 th December 2015. In preparation for this event we have had some more spaces created in the car park and will have additional signage for visitors. Food and drink will be available on site. See you there!
