Important Show Information for 2017 Show season is upon us, and we have some exciting news to share with you! This year CDCTA is proud to offer a new way to compete with our club. Western Dressage combines the principles of traditional dressage with western working horse ideals. In addition we are also proud to announce we have added Lead Line Dressage. All rules and guide lines can be found on our website on the Links page (drop down from home page).. We will be looking for your feedback with our new classes. If well attended your board will consider adding to the yearend awards for 2018. We are also offering and extra jumping round. $10 will get you another jumping round in your division after the completion of your division. You will be able to purchase a ticket for this from the ring steward the day of the show. In addition we continuing to participate in the TIP, The Thoroughbred Incentive Program. Thoroughbreds who qualify will be eligible to earn a High Point or Reserve High Point award. This year our show dates will be May 14 th at Westbrook Hunt Club, July 16 th at Mystic Valley Hunt Club, and returning to Westbrook Hunt Club for our final show of the season on October 1 st. Rules: Current negative Coggins and Rabies vaccination certificates are mandatory and must accompany entry. Current certificates will be kept on file for the year. The show will be run in accordance with USEA/USEF rules. Medical arm/wristbands are required for jumping classes. All competitors must wear helmets that are ASTM/SEI certified. Classes may be combined, split, or canceled at the discretion of management. Bit less Bridle optional: Must ride hors concours or HC * Please treat the grounds as you would your own property. Place all trash in designated containers. EXTENSIONS 6 Notes from the Board Hello All!! We are looking forward to our upcoming show season. If you don t know yet, we are including a few new things this year. Western Dressage, lead line dressage, a chance of an extra jumping round, and if you ride with a bit less bridle, you are able to ride HC. Our new divisions are not eligible for year-end awards in 2017, this is an experiment. We will be looking for feedback your feedback in the direction of these additions.
