SUPERMODIFIED RACE PROCEDURES 1. Time trials shall be run Friday and Sunday of the 2016 Classic Weekend. a) a driver may attempt to qualify only one car in Time Trials and each registered car shall be given one time trial attempt Friday and one attempt Sunday. Each car shall be given two warm-up laps and two laps under time. The faster of the two laps under time shall be the one used for position. In the event of a tie for the fastest time the second lap shall be used to break the tie. In the event two drivers turn identical time trial laps, the driver who recorded the time first shall start ahead of the other driver. A spin or stall on either of the time laps shall cancel out that particular lap. Both left and right rear tires will be stenciled Friday at the line before a driver makes his time trial attempt. The top 20 fastest drivers on Friday are locked into the Classic straight up. Fastest time shall be on the pole with 20th fastest starting 20th. 21st Through How Many Cars Time Trialed may re-time on Sunday or stay on their Friday time. You must use your Friday Time Trial stenciled tires to re-time on Sunday. Any car that does not make a Time Trial on Friday must go out in warmups and run 5 laps on a left and right rear tire to receive a stencil. Once everyone is done time trialing both Friday and Sunday, a 3-minute time period will begin on the clock and when that time is up, Time Trials will be officially over. b) The two fastest qualifiers and any other selected randomly by tech officials shall be brought to the tech building for inspection. 2. In the event Time Trials cannot be completed on Friday, the Top 28 will be timed in on Sunday. 3. If a driver, who is not qualified for the International Classic, runs a different car in the Classic semi from the one he attempted to qualify during time trials, he shall start behind all other time trial cars. a) If a driver is qualified for the International Classic through time trials and elects to run a different car in the Classic Semi, he shall first withdraw the qualified car from the Classic starting field and start the Classic Semi behind all other time trialed cars. One additional spot shall be taken from the Classic semi to fill the vacant spot left by the withdrawal. 4. How many cars that will start the Classic will depend on how many cars Time Trial. This will be determined on Sunday morning. 5. The only tires allowed for time trials and racing on Classic Sunday are as follows: Left Front Hoosier 11/24-15 - 2030 Compound Right Front Hoosier 13/25-15 - 2045 Compound Left Rear Hoosier 13/27-15 - 2045 Compound Right Rear Hoosier 17/28-15 - 2045 Compound a) Tires are subject to inspection by tech inspectors at any time during Classic weekend. c) You may pick up all LR and RR tires for Sunday's Classic at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. We will have a Sunday stencil. For time trials, consi and Classic 200 you must have a Sunday stencil. On Friday's practice session you may pick up a new set of LR and RR tires at 11:30 a.m. with a Friday stencil. If you would like the option to use this Friday set on Sunday during time trials, Semi or Classic 200, you must bring that set back to the Oswego Speedway garage for impoundment. Then on Sunday you may take it back and we will put on a Sunday stencil. NO rear tires can be used for time trials, semi or Classic 200 that have left the Oswego Speedway property. d) All tires shall have legible compound and size markings on sidewall. If the tire cannot be identified on the track prior to the Classic push off, the car shall be taken to the pits to make the necessary changes and shall start scratch in the Classic. e) Heaters, blowers or any other devices used to apply additional heat to tires during time trials shall not be allowed. Use of tire softening chemicals during the time trials shall result in disqualification of the car and driver for the ENTIRE Classic Weekend. f) During the Classic race, a car shall be allowed to change any tire 3 which is determined by a technical inspector to be flat or damaged to an extent that it is not raceable. More than one flat/damaged tire can be changed at one time. A car shall also be allowed to change one optional (unflat/undamaged) tire during the Classic race. However, the optional (unflat) tire cannot be changed during the same caution period as a flat tire. In addition, during any one caution period no car shall be allowed to pit for fuel and for a tire change (including a flat tire). Any additional unflat/undamaged tires changed will result in a one-lap penalty per tire changed. No unflat or undamaged tire changes allowed during red flag. A one lap penalty will be assessed for any car that refuels and changes a tire during any yellow flag situation. g) During a red flag no work shall be done on any car in the pit area. As soon as all cars are brought to the pit area, the track will go yellow and repairs may be done on all cars in the pit area. No refueling may be done. No undamaged tire may be changed. All damaged tires may be changed with permission of tech inspectors. Cars remaining on track will be placed in correct running order and pushed off. No refueling will be allowed during a red flag(* see #10a) Once we push off after a red flag and the lineup is correct, we will start counting laps at that point we should be able to go white then green. Any work done, refueling or undamaged tire change during a red flag will result in a one lap penalty per infraction. 7. Relief driving shall be allowed after the 200-lap race has been started. The relief driver shall be a currently registered supermodified driver who competed in at least one supermodified race at Oswego Speedway during the 2016 racing season. No relief driving during preliminary events. If there is a driver change during a red flag situation, the car shall be brought to the pits and start at the rear of the field upon returning to the track. 8. Caution laps shall count in the 200- lap event. When the yellow flag is displayed all drivers shall hold the position they were running at that time. Cars are to remain one behind the other with no lining up offset and no passing under the yellow. Penalty for either shall be the loss of position on the lap the car was running. The car penalized shall be put to the rear of the pack on the next restart. If there are no subsequent restarts in the race, the penalized car shall be scored at the back of the other cars running in the same lap. 9. During restarts, the leader of the race shall begin acceleration at the Bud Light sign on the backstretch wall, after the pace car has exited the racing surface. The green flag shall be given to the leader of the race on the restart when he reaches the restart line in the 3rd turn. It is the responsibility of the leader to bring the field down to a clean, fair restart. Failure to do so may result in the leader being sent to the back. 10. For fueling purposes, the push off laps and restart laps after a red flag shall count towards an overall maximum number of laps to be run before refueling at 220. a.) *Track management reserves the right to allow refueling on any red flag situation during the race. 11. In the event of a caution flag late in the race, the Classic event could go past the 200 lap mark. Lap cars DO NOT go to the rear of the field in the last ten laps of the race as they do in other season feature events where the caution laps do not count. ALL LAPS RUN PAST 200, WHETHER ON CAUTION OR GREEN, COUNT AS PART OF THE RACE!!! This includes pitstops. 12. The last two consecutive laps of the Classic shall be run under the green. Any restart past lap 198 shall be a green-white-checker flag series of two laps. 13. The winner of the race shall be the first car across the finish line to receive the checkered flag, having gone the farthest distance in the least amount of time. For close finishes, the transponder results will determine the order, provided cars in question have legal setback transponder measurements as outlined in the Official Oswego Speedway Rule Book. In the event one or both of the transponders of the cars involved in the close finish do not transmit, a determination of the outcome will be made by the starter, chief scorer and race director, using all available means of video and still photographs.

14. Pitstops may be made on caution laps and cars shall return to the race behind all other cars. When the caution comes out, drivers must maintain their position and get into single file the way they were running when the caution flag came out, leaving room on the inside for cars wishing to pit. Drivers MUST WAIT for the field to be slowed and secured by the pace truck and then those wishing to pit may pull up to the pace truck, in single file, on the inside lane before pulling into the pits. The driver must wait until he hears from the Race Director that the pits are open. Pitting before the pits are open may result in the loss of position on the restart or loss of one lap. Once a driver pulls out of line and advances towards the pace truck HE MUST PIT! Failure to do so shall result in loss of position on the lap the car is running. The car shall be put to the rear on the next caution or scored at the back of that lap if there are no further cautions during the race). Cars shall leave the pit area via the second turn exit, under their own power. Cars not started before they reach the second turn exit shall use the starting strip in the infield and circle back through the pit area. The third turn entrance and front straightaway entrance may be used for emergency pitting only. Cars entering the pit area via the third turn for purposes of a pit stop and returning to the race track shall be scored one lap down. A car cannot gain a lap by pitting and returning to the track ahead of the pace truck. Pitting procedure is as follows: (a) Cars must enter their designated pit and stop BETWEEN the yellow lines which run the entire length of the pit area on both sides of the pits. All work must be done in this area ONLY. Each pit stop lane will be 15 feet wide. (b) Push trucks for pitted cars must stay in the push off lane(s) and allow enough room in the event a car in the next pit slot wants to pit at the same time. There will be three push off lanes, approximately. 16 feet wide, for a total of approximately. 48 feet. (c) Once service has been completed, teams must push car into pushoff lane to awaiting push truck. The car can be put in gear and started from there. You DO NOT have to push the car, out of gear, to the designated push off line in turn one. (d) It is the responsibility of drivers to merge accordingly as they approach the first turn push lane. Any contact, accidents or other problems exiting the pits after a pitstop are NOT the responsibility of Oswego Speedway race officials. (e) Any driver using excessive speed entering or leaving the pit area, as determined by Oswego Speedway officials, will be sent to the rear of the field on the NEXT caution period. (f) There will be at least 12 Oswego Speedway pit stewards/ technicians/security guards monitoring the pit area during the race to ensure compliance of these rules. 15. The race shall continue until the full 200* laps are completed except for adverse weather conditions. If for weather reasons, racing is discontinued after 101 laps have been run, the race shall be called completed and all positions paid as they were running when the yellow or red flag was displayed. If 101 laps have not been run and racing cannot continue for weather reasons, the balance of the laps shall be run Monday, Labor Day, with the cars starting in the positions they held when the race was halted. 16.
