Thanks to these regional centres, netballers will not have to travel far to attend coaching sessions and they will also have access to support services like physio, performance analysis, strength and conditioning training and nutritional advice. Jess Thirlby Athlete wellbeing is essential to our philosophy at Team Bath Netball. We aim to ensure athletes have minimal travel time and maximum coach-athlete contact time. Athletes are assigned to their Academy and/ or Hub based on proximity to their home address. All athletes attend Hub sessions on a Monday evening and selected athletes will also attend Tuesday sessions at their nearest Academy. As we progress further through the season, additional hub athletes will progress to the Tuesday Academy sessions. This selection applies to the pathway sessions only. Each Hub location will provide an S&C session either before or after the on-court session. Additional S&C sessions, match play, tournaments and training dates may be added during the season. These additional sessions will be communicated to you by your Academy and/or Hub coach. Team Bath Netball Superleague, U21, U19 & U17 representative squads training base & Academy sessions. Expectations of Athletes We are here to support you on your journey to becoming an elite netballer. With that in mind it is essential that we track how you are doing and take action, when necessary, to make sure that you are working with us to maintain high standards both in terms of performance and behaviour. We will monitor your development and progression in three areas: your physical development, how well you demonstrate elite athlete behaviours and attitude, and your playing performance level. PLEASE NOTE: When working towards becoming an elite netballer the behaviour and attitude that you apply to your training is of at least equal, if not greater importance than physical performance. In order for us to provide the best possible environment for your development we need the following: Excellent communication. We would like you to talk to us about what is going on; tell us about your game at the weekend or a selection that you missed. Tell us if you are feeling under pressure or it has been a great week. The more we know the more we can support and celebrate. Be there. This means we need you to make as many of the sessions as you can (even if you are injured), with your head ready for action. Work hard. Treat every session as an opportunity to get better and commit to it. We are here to support you on your journey to becoming an elite netballer Culture at Team Bath: As a franchise we have an identifiable, coherent and shared philosophy and culture.
